I have noticed this for a very long time, but It's reached the point I really have to ask what's up. Take this thread for example: /52/91/274677/1.htmlSo I fully and completely answered the OP's question, only to have someone come along and post exactly the same thing I said again. I can only think of a few possible reasons for this: 1) The person doesn't bother to read the existing comments and just posts. 2) The person's Ego is such they don't feel anyone else can properly answer a post, so they must say it so it's valid and official. 3) The person has you muted. 4) The person is just a jerk. So which one do you think it is?

None of the above.
Sometimes having things explained in a couple of different ways is helpful.

But also, I can tell you that I don't care to read thru everyone's elses posts to see IF I should add something. What a waste of time. I just say what I gotta say and move on. Seriously, don't take it personally. LOL

Sometimes multiple people respond at the same time and don't see the other posts that were being written at the same time. I'm guessing several people also hit reply before reading the entire thread. Or, another poster comes along with a similiar answer, adding just a little new information.
In the thread you referenced, for example, the other poster explained how to activate the running animation, which wasn't covered by your earlier post.
When I have a question, more helpful info is a good thing, even if some of it is redundant.

6) You, nor no one, is special enough to always have the 'best' answer. People like to answer questions =p If ya don't like it, don't post!
Personally, I like Lindals reply.

The other trap I have been known to fall into is, when I don't know the answer, to talk about something else related to the topic. E.g. I don't know why people have to repeat other people's answers on the forums but another thing I really can't understand is why, at clubs, some people type snippets of the lyrics of a song that happens to be playing.

I took a look at the post in question: I don't see how the two of you posted exactly the same thing. Definately a similar answer, but not a repost. I feel smarter about the topic having read both posts, rather than one or the other. Between the two of you, both of your information seemed helpful.

I feel smarter about the topic having read both posts, rather than one or the other. Between the two of you, both of your information seemed helpful. I don't know, to me it seems the same basic information. But I see this all the time, not just with my posts, but with others. I usually chalk it up to not reading previous posts, but in this case, I found that hard to believe, given the # of posts. So I had to ask.

Your first reply, that the feature would need to be plumbed in, made me think "but that would involve work, meh." The second reply, which left things more definitively at ‘it doesn't do that’, provided the incentive to make it do that. So it had value, in its own way.

Perhaps, when the OP posts an answer to a question, we should all fore go any additional answers because we should all know that the OP's answer is the best and most perfect answer to the question and no additional information is required.
Just saying...

I think we have a case of foot in the mouth disease. Now to answer the op sometimes ppl just are not perfect and did not see that the answer was given. Maybe they were short on time and just posted there quick response. We are all human. But jeez I am sure I made plenty of mistakes and to have ppl make note of them makes me not want to post as much I dont want ppl up my ass. I mean no discrepect to you personally its just I am tired of ppl watching what the other one is doing in here.

Gee, Darien...that's kind of harsh.
There have been a lot of times that I post, only to find that someone just beat me to it by posting an answer while I was typing. In this case, though, I DID see your response before I posted.
The reason I posted was that I felt that your reply had an area in it that could be misunderstood. The OP's question MIGHT have been about multiple runs...but as I read it, they might also be asking "how do I run" with the ZHAO II AO.
I felt that it was useful to point out how that worked.
Now...just to clarify how I operate on these here fora: I DO read the prior posts in a thread, unless it's just incredibly long. (For example, I'll often post a reply in the Undead Thread without looking to see EVERYTHING that's already been said). I DON'T have you muted. Granted, my ego IS huge, and I am a chatty bi*ch and a forum whore of long standing (here and elsewhere). Even so, I don't (at least I THINK I don't) have a head quite so big that I think no thread is complete without my $.02 in it.
As for being a jerk, you'll just have to make up your own mind about that. As sweet as I am, I'm sad to say that there are actually one or two people on the planet who don't like me. I'll send you their contact info...maybe the three of you can start a fan club. Or an anti-fan club, as the case may be.
(Yes, I'm being a little sarcastic, 'cause I think you are kvetching for no reason. But I AM sorry that you got upset.)

I have seen these misunderstandinds before. It always leads to hurt feeling and the only way to resolve it is violence. Specifically, a jello wrestling match. Lindal, as the chalenged you get the choice of flavors but Darien may add a fruit of her choice and whether or not there is to be whipped cream involved.
