What would you do if Linden Lab announced that Second Life would be closing as of December 31, 2007? I'd miss the creative outlet. That would probably be the motivation I would need to focus more on learning how to use Maya or some other 3D modeling tools. I would probably then also investigate other MMOG's. _____________________

Many? Are you sure about that? Economic stats page shows that the vast majority makes virtually nothing and that only a few hundred make enough to be a primary source of income. The numbers show income _before_ LL charges (IE: tier) so I doubt there's very many at all that can actually live off SL.. What would I do if SL poofed? I'd be unhappy but continue on in RL.. Ditto |

I'm surprised "I'd roll over and go to sleep" was so popular. That's what I said. I've walked away for months before now. In some ways, I think I'd be relieved if it just went titsup. Crack is really difficult to give up unless somebody puts a bullet in your dealer's head.  hmm.. All yu need to do is find a new dealer... I would go back to playing unreal tournament.. BTW.. I would be very sad as I love it here in SL and it's my home. I guess I'd just have to stay in digital deepfreeze until I could be brought back into some other decent virtual reality 3D world when it's launched. My RL agent would probably miss me but they coped before we met so they'll cope without me if need be.
As for money and the business side - well, I don't make much so that wouldn't be a problem. |
