Why do some people seem to be pathological complainers?

The Lifestyler

Wants a bunch of cosmetic changes to a single type of character. Exhibits an eerie level of identification with said character.

Sample Quote: "The Pastry Elves' laugh should be less bubbly and more tinkly. Our giggle should remind you of gazing at the stars as a child, and our smile should make you think of the taste of honey on a cool spring morning."

Punishment: Character icon replaced with accurate photograph of self.
That is not the definition that I was once told for a Lifestyler
:D

I liked all of your answers better. My first thought was 'Crow Plant'.
I must have read it as 'window sill'.

Kind of sad isn't it?

Everybody complains about something to someone, even if only to themselves about themselves.

It is in the nature of imperfect beings to be discontent about imperfection. Often that discontent is vocalized, sometimes repeatedly, because the source of discontent either cannot be remedied or will not be remedied.

Some discontent is unreasonable, however, I would posit that most discontent, even that which leads from chronic complaining, is simply from a desire for something better. Something that, if we can't obtain or create for ourselves, we prompt others to provide or create for us.

Hence, it is why service providers often get hit with these "chronic complainers", because they make mistakes __just like everyone else__, and can often be reminded of them. The question is what is the point of the complaint? For many who just care a bit too passionately, it is nothing more than a burning desire to see our benevolent providers simply do better.

When you put it in that light, it is a lot easier to deal with.

Are you complaining that Condorman was miscast?

He can be in this one. It's an ensemble though.

That would work.

Part IV: On a mini-continent far, far, away. Desmond has been battling the evil Dreamland stormtroopers to save his beloved Caledon...

Some people are habitual complainers just because they are, in the same way that others of us hardly ever complain!
