I lived there for about 6 months and enjoyed it immensely. Plus he's very helpful, and a lot of fun to talk to.  _____________________

I came here for help. I'm a sionChicken addict, and admitting you have a problem is the first step to recovery. I have 75. And they are so damn cute (shh don't tell my guy friends I said that). I know it's making Sion rich to buy food for the lil monsters. I know most of what they really eat are prims on my land, making me buy more. I know I've spent hours building coops for breeding with egg catchers, coops that keep roosters apart, food dispensers, chat relays so I don't have to babysit them, breeding/color conversion charts, etc. I know Sion is greedy as hell not only for the food to keep them alive, but also for changing the commission vendors to giving 0% for promoting his products. Interesting business/marketing plan. By interesting I mean it isn't smart. I know they lag sims, altho v11 is better. I manage 50 sims and can tell you before the update the sim lag was horrendous. We got complaint after complaint. I know the sounds drive me batty, altho muting sounds did fix that.. heh These lil bast**** better start laying more colorful eggs soon so I can sell them for more. So yes, I'm addicted to these stupid, laggy, scammy, adorable chickens. Please help. You aren't alone, I have been overrun by these things. But I have found them to be alot of fun. |

My next door neighbor on one of my parcels seems to have the same addiction. They have little cages with chicken wire to keep them.
They don't cause trouble at all but I'm nervous if they all lay eggs that hatch. For now, they wander around quietly, so it should be easy to kill with a baseball bat and then have yourself a nice dinner later. _____________________

After posting above I went inworld and got a spammy failed script message thing- now i need to find the stupid thing and kill it within the inventory but it is not turning up! argh!!!

As for what can you do with them, think of them the same as say.... virtual cats or dogs, basically pets, except with these ones you do have to feed them to keep them alive AND they will lay eggs (as long as you have a rooster with the hens) and you can sell the eggs it would be sorta like having dogs that could be bred then selling the puppies, with a chance of mixing the breeds and getting new breeds My first thought when I saw the post was that he is drawing attention to it so he can sell more stuff...(just my impression, I could be way off base) as for needing help, IF it is that bad, just pick them up kill them off and be done with it Nothing in SL is ever that bad, that you need to come to (apparently multiple) forums to get help with it, when you could easily help yourself sionchickens are just like anything else in SL, either you like them, or you won't. (and no one is being spammed by them like bloodlines would spam for bites.) heck if you do not go looking for them, you would probably not encounter any, or if you did, you would just think... another pet, much like dogs and cats, etc (wow I missed the part about managing 50 sims..... how does the OP find time to even deal with the chickens, and spend "hours" building coops and such for them... IF I were managing 50 sims I think a lot of my time would be spent dealing with things to do with those 50 sims... wouldn't it?) _____________________
