... I stumbled across 3 males, sitting around watching a female dressed in silks, dancing in a giant martini glass. I was greeted by all 3 males and I responded. The female simply said "hello". I was more than a little surprised at her greeting, but responded as a FW would address a kajira, before moving off. Imagine my surprise when the males got all prickly at the manner in which I had addressed the kajira, with one of them saying "I don't know where you come from, but that is NOT how a strange Freewoman addresses my Free Companion, woman."... ![]() |

*snorfle* ... damn, Angel ... coffee all over my keyboard ... i wanna see a video of this ... HAHAHA ... ah god ... Well, having lived among the Goreans for a long time, the Real ones, and the gamers, the One thing i always found was they Took themselves Too damn seriously. They have forgotten how to laugh. One of my favorite Artifacts actually, is the "Houseplant of Gor" it's a howl. Originally Posted by Classy Patton ... Likewise they are forbidden to Wear a slaves silks, Should they do so in Public they are Openly declaring themselves to be slaves and Again, are Claimable by any Free present Regardless of her FC's presence. Yes Angel, you are absolutely correct and that is why I was stunned to say the least, as I mentioned in my original post.
Note that i didn't refer to them as "Goreans" in my post-grins- Qie - gasps at your suggestion that a "needs dance" might, just miiiight be, a cut & paste job! By the way, Coin-Operated Boy"? What exactly is it that happens when one operates you with a coin?! ![]() |

I guess you'd get one free Needs Dance (a bargain at half the price!) ![]() Its actually a really amazing song, I love how the tempo changes to simulate the wind up type motion of the "toy" That "needs" dance stuff is funny. Most girls dont know "how to dance" at all becuase the Paga taverns are generally empty all the time. Its mainly carry overs from IRC gor that place the empahasis on dance types. As long as you know how to kneel on wood planks (the entry docks) and say "greetings Master" you can get through 90% of all Gorean slave girl activity without much trouble. ![]() |

So let me see if I have this right, Qie - without a coin I get one free Needs Dance? Hmm. So if I DON'T offer one more coin, I'd maybe get some conversation that is NOT cut & Paste? Yes? Done!
![]() And the remaining 10% is text that is more usually paid for in SL, Colette. I also love that song, both lyrics and tune. |

Personally, I've never understood why SL Gor puts such focus on Kajirae customs, serves, unbelievably verbose lives, and silks.
Anybody who's spent ANY time in SL Gor knows that Panthers have all the fun. And their outfits can be so much more killer than yet another pair of silks. Don't you think? Strife ... come back from the conference ... put this thread out of its misery ... |

If it was 10% , there would be a lot less Former slave girls in Second Life. 1% is what you were talking about, the other 9% is figuring out how to complain about the 1% - without getting in trouble for it. |

Politics and playing with each other's swords. Boys will be boys. What's the point of having a Kajira then? *shakes head* ... I don't think I will ever get Gor, to be honest. |

just hope Gor doesn't get you. Eh ... no, I will most certainly not be Gored ... I actively work to steer people *away* from Gor, but anyway. |

~Now Trout Re-Re-Re-Certified!~
I am bumping you to an 8.5 on the Official Trout Measuring Instrument of Sluttiness. You are an enigma - on the one hand a sweet, gentle, intelligent woman who we would like to wrap up in our arms and protect, and on the other, a temptress to whom we would like to do all sorts of unmentionable things. Congratulations and shame on you! You are a bit of a slut. |

I don't know about the RL Gor people, but I was hanging around Midgaard yesterday, and these people seemed to be having a lot of fun. The female mercs and panthers especially. The game seems to be to raid the city, get caught, and have a bit of fun. A lot of humour to be found, too.
But the Kajira looked pretty bored. Love. |

Dance, and really Learning the Poses, and positions is rapidly becoming a lost Art in SL owing to the presence of Animations. The Owners get lazy, and the slaves lose out on the feeling of accomplishment for creating a Visual image in words that is Unique to themselves despite the fact they are taking a common Pose used by every other slave. Yes, it was Common to IRC, and Games like TSO that were precursors to SL, But i feel the practice of verbalizing Dances, and Positions is a Good Discipline for Any slave to learn. I think when next i take a slave in RL, she shall be learning the verbalizing as well, it will raise her awareness of not only What she is doing, But Why. Angel. |

However, how reasonable is it - really - to expect the slave girls to become well versed in Gor, when most of the Free do not bother to do the same? --- As to the richness of text descriptions, a lot of that even remains in SL gor will definitely die in those sims that are changing over to voice chat. |
