Will the bible "Snow Crash" deliver prophecy?

Ok first things first, Snow Crash is a book by Neal Stephenson. Second Life has many references to this novel and has been said to be somewhat based off the book. Now the main character in this book starts off working at a pizza delivery job. this job requires up most skill and several years of pizza college to work as a pizza delivery person. Now Pizza Delivery is taken very seriously and when a pizza is not delivered in 30min or less, well people die.

Now just recently a Pizza chain in the real world called Dominoes Pizza has set it up so you can order a pizza online and track it with GPS! Plus they brought back the 30min guarantee!

So my question is to the hip savvy residents surfing this board... Will all the book's prophecy come to full realization in the physical world?

Oh and if you have not read the book I would recommend it is fun reading :)

Yes! Let's have Domino's Pizza rule the world! There are a lot worse choices, and at least we'll have decent pizza!

Good analogy. Snowcrash and Dominoes Pizza. Both mediocre at best.

I made a regenerative pizza months ago. I eat as much as I like and it just grows back. But I like to stay skinny so I don't eat too much!

We don't need another Hiro........

As to Domino's and the like, I'm thankful that I have many local Pizza Shops that make the mass produced, assembly line, conveyor belt pizza unnecessary. I have been in places where Domino's and Pizza Hut are the best pizza around, I'm glad I don't live there.

Yes! Brenda has revealed here she lives in the NYC metro area, which is the World Capital of good pizza. That's because the quality of all pizza falls off according to the square of its distance from the Center of the Pizza Universe at Famous Ray's in the Village on Sixth Avenue. Despair, all ye Midwesterners and West Coasters! You have no hope! (I know, I know: Italy...but that's a different sort of pizza.)

whoa..

SO Chicago doesn't exist?

It has a whole style of Pizza named after it.

Not to mention California Style Pizza - which is pretty good in that gourmet style way.

No, Chicago Style is a nice change of pace ocasionally. And I'm sure any self respecting Chicagoan wouldn't need Domino's either. As for California........*shudders*

Actually Har, I prefer John's on Bleecker Street, or Patsy Grimaldi's in Hoboken. Ray's is a little doughy and cheese heavy for me.

Probably doesn't matter WHO makes the best pizza, or WHERE you can find it. What is important is who's eating some right now. ME. Nya nya ;)

/me quotes wikipedia..
From: Wikipedia
Snow Crash rocketed to the top of the fiction best-seller charts upon its publication and established Stephenson as a major science fiction writer of the 1990s. The book appeared on Time magazine's list of 100 all-time best English-language novels written since 1923.

Some disagree with your opinion of Snow Crash.

No, that's what you get when you take your dog out for a walk on really cold nights, here (-40°F).

I'm sure they do. That's why it's _My_Opinion. It wasn't worth the trouble of looking that up.
*I'm not a big fan of Time Magazine either, for the record.*

A lot of times it is the converse, isn't it?"The Secret " was a Best Seller too.

*I guess I'm in trouble for Blaspheming against "The Book".
