I found Winterland and Mars Rezzable from your other post in this thread, keep forgetting to visit NCC and felt a little "off" being in Livingtree in full adult size, but I'll check it out :)

Thank-you very much for your earlier suggestings :)

Oh and I found most of the others through that Winterfest thingie (specifically the HUD).

Oh heck, Livingtree is for any size. There's a whole big store there for 'dults. Also, the snowmobiles there are for 'em, too.

I was interested in snowmobiles, but the only ones I saw there in my very brief visit said that they were for kids. :)

And since I can't seem to keep putting pictures in my posts:

Chalet Linden, kitty on (free) snowmobile from Avatrain (have to go to Avatrain to get that free snowmobile)

When you find yourself sitting on your virtual sofa feeling like you can't be bothered to go out cos you'd have to find something to look for and meh ... well it's COLD outside ... stay by the fire ...

That ain't good! Thanks all for the collations, updates and recommendations :)

Glad to be of help :) I enjoy exploring and taking pictures, and once thought of creating a travel blog, but I just never was able to get myself to do so. So, glad to have the forum :)

Wintery place : Sterling music park is covered in snow, plus.....
Totally over the top funky Christmassy stuff at the stage, and live music thrown in for your added enjoyment :D

On added note: been working on compiling these lists, but it's taking a bit longer than planned.

:)

From that very spot, turn right around and walk to the AV store (the diamond shaped building opposite the two-story schoolhouse lookin' place). on the left-hand side of the building, as you look at it, you'll see the adult size snowmobiles.

I see the Pot Healer's Quest listed, not sure if I saw the Mata Hari Quest (prizes of wonderful sculptie jewelry) and The Broken Harp Quest (prizes are a harp that plays lovely music, a flute, and another instrument).

The Broken Harp Quest was a great suggestion....it has kept me entertained for most of a snow day, but now I'm completely stuck & really have no idea even how to try & proceed.I'm not puzzling over any clues, I just don't even have anymore as far as I can tell. Anyone who has solved this--can I get a general-ish hint? I have only one harp piece to go; are all the harp pieces in the same general, uh, area, or do I need to go other parts of the sim?

A bump up for a old thread. So many of theses sims would be gone now, but lots of new ones to recommend?

A favourite of mine was "the fairy tale gardens of shinano" that place was gorgeous (i love flowers lolz) defo a girly place. It was sad to see random builds appearing, then it just disappeard one day.
Forest feast is another good one..if you like flower gardens.
I will have to raid my LM's when i'm next inworld and add here.

So what sims do you love from a exploring/scenery point of view? p.s there can never be enough flowers :D

I have asked several people what their favorite thing in SL is to do, and the answers always vary; Other than looking for romance, many tell me they love to EXPLORE. (not to mention shopping or clubbing)... I have heard things like snow skiing, skydiving, scuba diving, visiting forests, hiking mountain retreats, grottos, museums, awesome beaches and unusual architecture.

Dinosaurs Park

Re-bumping. It would be useful to have a thread or a separate forum just for cool landmarks that we the residents find. But there would be no way to prevent advertisers from spamming it.

I want to share my latest passion with you, Dinosaurs Park. I bought one of the coolest avatars I own there (and I own a lot). While there are few people there right now, that should change soon. This place really should be in the Hot Spots listing. The park itself is picturesque and has the occasional dino bot standing around to be discovered. Exploring I found an extensive network of hidden caves that I really did get lost in for a time. Evidently they are setting up a community of dinosaurs or trying to.

The whole place is cleverly scripted and full of those little surprises that SL is good at providing, the kind that make you want to stay just when you think you are bored to tears.

The address is Dinosaurs Park Entrance, Dinosaurs Park (10, 132, 23) or just look up Dinosaurs Park in the Places search. Sorry I can never remember how to make an SURL link.

Winter places? I loved Nirvana. It's a winter sim selling winter things.

Just trust and go and explore. :)

Elms Vale Forest is now open for visitors to come, relax, walk and talk within its beautiful parks. Everyone very welcome. More than happy to share it with people.
