If Nic did that, the open market price would simply drop to .03 L each

From: Rocketman Raymaker What i dont understand is why they only get one bond per $L
If Nic was as honest as he say he is shouldnt he give them at least 5 per $l invested, then at least it would be kind of fair to current depositors.
And whats going to happen in 3 months time when he has to pay over $3million lindens as a dividend, thats over 10000US he has to come up with in 3 months.
I guess thats just all part of the Portocarrero scheme. He already responded on that when they were 100L for 100L balance when they were trading for 17 .. He thinks the face value means something.

From: Colette Meiji He thinks the face value means something. Now now, the face value actually does mean something.. .. the problem is the cognitive dissonance caused by relating what Nick thinks it means to reality.

The bashing was getting out of control on the other thread. Enough on this already. Let it sit for a while so the investors can get a percentage of their money out.

If Ginko had the RW assets to justify the size of its Investor accounts - They could have disclosed them and slowed the Bank Run at any time.
The fact that they didnt and let the whole mess collapse to forcable sub-junk bond conversion is telling.
Even now if those RW assets (75% of Ginkos Assets remember) were worth anything, disclosing them would improve the bond price considerably.
The lack of Disclosure says one very clear thing, Nick doesnt want people to know what he did with the money.
Why is that?

From: Nicholas Portocarrero You are a bad person. Why? Because you want to lock me up. The only thing worse to a man than being locked up is being dead. You want to do this not because I commited some cruel crime, like running over an old lady, but because I have run my business in a way that, while entirely legitimate, does not please you. A way that makes you suspicious. People who caught the "something for nothing" bug are outraged when the risks involved in acquiring high returns materialize. Even when they materialize for other people. I'm not surprised.
The bottom line is that nobody has lost a single cent.
While I never said anything about locking you up (that was others); I did call you a scam artist. Which is true. Nick, people who run Ponzi Schemes go to Jail when found out. Although you'll probably get away with it becuase of the nature of SL. If you feel that makes me a bad person - so what? Its not like your opinion on right and wrong is worth a Ginko Junk Bond.
