What was your first thread or post? Here's mine:

It was called "Junk on Other People's Property" and was dated 11-08-2006.

From: Jig Chippewa
My name is Jig Chippewa and I am a landowner. I have a lovely home but I am concerned about junk on my neighbour's property (yes, I have IM'd her several times.) This junk comprises of speedboats, rockets, cages and jet fighters - I think you know what I mean. I am fairly new here and I don't want to piss people off but can anyone give me suggestions as to how to go about getting this crap removed? It just sits there day after day and offends both me and my friends. Ideas, please!

SecondLife crashes within a few seconds

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
My SecondLife software crashes within seconds (literally: 2 to 15 seconds) of making what appears to be an OK connection.

And that's about it. I can't see any reason for it, and this appears to be the only place I can go for help.

Thanks.

The first thread I started (one of very few) was on 17/10/2007, asking about the relative cost of rent vs. tier. The way I had my mainland parcel set up it was cheaper than anywhere I could find to rent, and I was wondering if I was missing a secret society of cheap rentals somewhere. It turned out that people hated mainland so much that they didn't mind the extra for estate rental.

I still own mainland, and have never rented on an estate (other than a few prims for vendors).

I've no idea what my first post was; I can't dig back more than 200 results.

It's difficult to remember, but I think it was saying that Deckard was obviously a replicant

I believe mine was a request to LL for my first land. Back then it was done through the forums. You applied for your first land by making a thread and specifying what type you wanted. Then LL assigned you a plot.

Do you really think he is a replicant? I know that's a common theory but he feels more pain than replicants should and he suppresses memory rather than devises means to augment and enhance it.

This isn't the place, but the overwhelming evidence in the movie is that he is - unicorn, shining eyes etc . . . ;)

Pep ( . . . but the clincher is that Ridley has *said* he was! )

Besides the obvious savings in $$$, are there any other benefits to signing up for the Lifetime Membership?

Thanks in advance

Way back on 09-13-2005, I posted about my dissapointment that I could not enter my own fictional surname for my brand-new SL account, but rather had to choose one from a pre-defined list of surnames.

It was in direct response to Robin Linden's post soliciting Resident feedback on the topic of allowing the option to create custom surnames.

They ignored most of our feedback, implemented a method of creating custom surnames solely for your own organization's use, that was only useful to large for-profit corporations and Universities, and completely ignored their own possible suggestion of alowing residents to "create a new Second Life last name list and be the first to use it. The fee for create the name would be a one time set up charge."

Even back then, they said they wanted our feedback, but they didn't listen to what we were asking for.
