More layers or more flexible layers. And more attachment points would be great. What happen when you wear a handbag? Your ring get off. Same with shoes that use the lower leg attacments. Can't wear them and capris with cuffs. They should use palms, knees, elbows, neck and ankles, just as an example.

Lassitude & Ennui also have some "old-fashioned" boots, including some ankle boots. I was about to make the same recommendation. I've been very pleased with the pair of ankle boots I purchased there, though it's been some while since I dressed out in Victorian style. I really should wear that more often. _____________________

There's seriously a huge lack of "normal" clothes. Normal fit jeans, normal everyday sweaters, normal blouses and shirts, normal shoes, normal jackets. See post # 64. ![]() About Victorian boots - Shiny Things has some nice ones in their discount room (for women). $100L each. Many colors. Kleinschwein has some too, I think. |

I don't think it's a lack of normal clothes. I find it all the time. Low pants - I use shirt layer and underpants layer. No belly shown. Nice skirts, leggings, long tops and flat shoes.
Realistic jackets that use sculpts so they don't look painted on. In general, I hardly buy clothes at all that only use system layers. It's a lot of low quality clothing for sure. But the number of really good designers grow. Mens wear too. And those who complain about men's shoes the size of a Corvette... no. Shiny things had 4 different sizes of their shoes in 2007, and now resizer is the normal thing for good designers. |

Lassitue Ennui is a very classy and very talented creator. Her jewelry is really, really beautiful as well as her boots.
If you want nice leather jackers for men and women, check out Cubic Effect. There's nearly every style of clothing every imagined in SL if you do some research. ![]() |

And stuff WITHOUT the dratted resizing script! I recently went back to the store to get the rest of that colour range. I bought them all, and when I got home I was dismayed to find resize scripts in both cuffs and the collar. So now all I can do is size those objects up, and I can no longer stretch and fine-tune them in individual directions so they fit my neck and arms properly. My choice has been limited now, to either having those prim objects small enough that they don't poke several centimetres out from my arms and letting the shirt's system layer show through in patches, or sizing them up so hugely that I look as though I'm wearing a barrel on my bicep, but at least the system layer doesn't show through. As to the collar, well that either has to be huge enough that it touches the edge of the system shirt so that my skin doesn't show outside where it sits on my shoulders, or I can size it more realistically and have that skin showing, which looks pretty damn awful Despite the effeminate looks, I have a wide neck, and I've *always* needed to stretch my collars lengthwise to get them to fit. With resize scripts that's impossible. The shirt is here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/skelldagger/3563190187/sizes/l/ The dark grey, grass green, and red shirts are all original hand-resized cuffs and collar. They look the same all the way around; no system shirt or skin poking through. The blue, gold and purple shirts have the resize scripts. I got the cuffs and collars looking great from the front for the photoshoot, but you can barely even see them from the back. If I sized them up so the cuffs could be seen from all sides, they would stick out so far from my arms as to look ridiculous. Don't get me wrong; I *love* Aitui's clothing, but finding these resize scripts in them was a sore disappointment. _____________________

I agree with those who prefer mod instead of resizer. Anyway, it has to be made small enough. I bought a set with prim belt, and I can't shrink it small enough for my avatar who's a bit over 6 feet tall, and who has body fat of 13%.
I like the shoes I buy with resizer.... and totally hate hair with resizer. |

Don't get me wrong; I *love* Aitui's clothing, but finding these resize scripts in them was a sore disappointment. did you try contacting the creator, just to let them know exactly what you said in this line? Doesn't hurt to let them know, especially if you are already an established customer with them. If I were the creator and had someone im me to tell me what you said in that one line, I would rethink my decision, AND offer to send those pieces to you without the script, with mod enabled. _____________________

regarding resizer scripts, there are some situations I can see them being useful, and in those situations, putting in the script plus making it mod, seems to be the best option.
I am glad that these kinds of comments pop up from time to time, it puts things into perspective _____________________

That's not technically possible. I am not sure I follow. If you put a no mod script in an item, the item appears to be no mod, and you can not modify it. If you delete the no mod script, then it should be mod, yes? I know the resize script I use has self delete ability. |

Some good clothing places:
Cubic, LeLutka, Maitreya, Muism. I believe at least some if not all have prim shirts/jackets, too. Men/women both. |
