From: Weston Graves ...We also need more big scarf-like ties. I don't know what you call them, cravats? ... Also more scarf-like scarves. With multiple versions, tied in different ways. And more belts that FIT, or can be edited to fit. About two out of three belts I've bought are hopeless. And stuff WITHOUT the dratted resizing script! More flexi jewelry! More hairstyles like the ones from Sirena that can be worn up or down. Doesn't have to be scripted, just sell two or three versions of the same hair, but styled differently. Some shiny pantyhose. Blaze makes good hosiery, but it has no shine to it. Axienne makes shiny thigh highs, but no pantyhose.

I don't want to derail the thread.. but about the resizing script.. all the items I have have that remove the script option. Does this work to get rid of the lag problem? I have no trouble keeping an original in my inventory in case I ever need to resize and a copy with scripts removed once I have the size as good as I can get it.

From: Argent Stonecutter Silent Sparrow is where I discovered my Fop Side, and Silent Sparrow is where my Elegant Goth Aristocrat shops. Indeed, Hya is tops at EGA, with Falln a very close second. AVID also has a few suitable ensembles. I suppose, being the clothing whore that I am, I'm being greedy and merely wish more! Shoes however! Shoes!

From: Melita Magic Purely medieval ones though, in various colors or tintable, aren't to be found. (okay I did find one or two but in navy or burgundy, two colors I'm not fond of for my av) LOL - just spotted this in the new products forum... /194/a1/322061/1.htmlThey look pretty darn good, too. ETA - Oh, funny! I went by her blog, and she specifically mentions this same thread. *Waves* Thanks, Anjo!

Nic those are very nice. Especially for bards/peasants. And non noble/non armored males. Thanks I usually RP as 'lady' i.e. noble, though. (More to do with not thinking virtual drudgery is fun.) But that's a good resource to point others to, thank you. Elric: If you mean modern shoes, Made Men, Shiny Things, and The Shoe Boutique all had some nice shoes for men.

I'll echo Ceera: Boots *without* 6-inch spike heels. There are some, but they are few and far between.

none of my mens pants are low rise and all the mens shirts are jacket, omitting the exposed navel on men, that I hate.... its not sexy. I have modest and sexy clothing at my store.. and what sells is exactly what you all think should be less of.... 60% of the women running arund SL (less character avatars) wear slutty clothing...I wear normal clothing and do occasionally wear slutwear, but Tarina does not feel comfortable like that......

I don't think the problem is low-rise pants, the problem is that you need two-piece shirts if you're going to wear them. Not just on the jacket layer, but on the underwear layer as well so you can wear them tucked in, and on the pants layer so you can wear the shirt on the shirt or underwear layer, untucked over underwear-layer pants, and still wear a vest or jacket. Women's clothes typically come in two or three layer options, but guys clothes seem to be one option, take it or leave it, because everyone knows guys don't care anyway.

I am working on those polo shirts, did a lot of research on polo shirts and got some terrific ideas, dunno if they will sell but I have had fun making them. When I uploaded and started to make the shirts I did add the underwear layer for the bottom, but forgot the pants layer for the bottom (to wear over underwear pants) thank you for the reminder on that. (hope to have them done today or tomorrow so I can toss one in the lucky chair, guess and win, and the midnight mania boards, I decided that is how I am going to promote my new releases hehe) (I wish LL would make the shirt layer work the same as the jacket layer with the bottom part, would make making long shirts soooo much easier hehe)

They SAY they're going to do stuff to let you wear clothes on different layers, and even more clothing layers, as a result of the work for alpha skin layers. I'm not banking on it, but that would be a big improvement.

I prefer prim skirts unlinked (in tiered skirts, if it's on one ring then yes, link it of course). Then can adjust better for shape of particular av. Anyhow I dug up this thread because of 2 finds: Nyte n Day - for both men and women has 'normal' clothes i.e. shirts that go to the waistband and covers the belly button. Tank tops, sweaters and other nice everyday things for male or female. Also prices are very good. Fatpacks are at or under approx 300L (depending). Also Fresco. Men's store, all the shirts seem to go past waitsband. Has some nicer casual wear also casual wear. Shirts, jeans, sweaters, baseball caps. 150 L per item it looks like. http://slurl.com/secondlife/Inochi%20Island/175/72/21Hope that helps someone.

You would make many folks happy not just furrys The reason some designers make parts of the skirt sit on the left and right hip is so the dress or long skirt will move better when walking or standing, your leg doesnt show. Yes it does use more attachments points but the aim is to make you look better. With designers who do this an option in the collection to have the skirt worn without the extra attachments would be good though so people have choice

From: Czari Zenovka ... as well as Victorian shoes for various occasions: daily wear, gowns, riding attire. I have a hard time finding decent lace up Victorian boots - ankle and mid-calf ones.

I would definitely love this - be able to wear a formal updo out dancing and then come home and "let my hair down".

From: Shane Roxan ooh, a request... No two part skirts! Link the prim parts ... Adored actually makes some skirts in 3 parts (a middle front and back, a left side, and a right side) and I love it because of the ease of adjusting the sections without having to always adjust individual prims -- though once or twice I have still had to adjust individual prims. Often, on a skirt fitting, the front and back center are fine and only one side is not fitting me right -- or maybe both sides are good, but the middle is a bit off. Therefore, I actually really love those 3-part skirts. Not to mention that they seem to flow better when walking.

From: LittleMe Jewell I have a hard time finding decent lace up Victorian boots - ankle and mid-calf ones. Since this thread seems to be sliding towards specific recommendations: Illusions added a pair of "granny boots" to their line-up not-too-long ago, and I *love* them ( http://masklady.blogspot.com/2009/02/miriel-granny-boots.html). Lassitude & Ennui also have some "old-fashioned" boots, including some ankle boots.

It's probably easier to say what we DON'T need:
Women don't need: -more silks -more latex -more torn up jeans or whatever torn up garment you can think of.
Men don't need: -more "biker" outfits -more gangster or weddingsuits -more shoes that are the size of a corvette
Seriously, produce any one of these, and you'll find competition to be huge. Don't pretend that yours is better. We've seen it all already.
There's seriously a huge lack of "normal" clothes. Normal fit jeans, normal everyday sweaters, normal blouses and shirts, normal shoes, normal jackets.
