Neo-classical futuristic themed clothing!
Sounds neat- what would that look like?

God must be punishing me for a past life by making you gay.

Is belief in God consistent with a belief in reincarnation? Apart from his Firstborn and Lazarus, that is.

Hey, Elora, quick, make up a story about Brenda being Pep's alt.

Pep (Not as unlikely as it might seem :D )

More rural style rugged menswear. Stuff that looks like you've spent the day in the fields.

There's too much urban grunge, and high style out there.

My Wishes
05-22-2009 05:50
From: Bradley Bracken
clothes for men, clothes for men....did I mention clothes for men.

I also require pants that really show my fine ass. It'd be my gift to Brenda

/me agrees

Although allow me to emphasize... elegant gothic artistocratic (EGA) or quite simply, stylish non-contemporary clothing. Lace, cravats, waistcoats, tight breeches, frock coats... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elegant_Gothic_Aristocrat

And of course, the ever present absence of men's footware featuring pointed toes (and lacking in bulk, tack and bling). I'm this close (/me nudges thumb to forefinger) to commissioning a pair of elgant black shoes and boots (not shiny) with pointed toes. Not severely pointed, mind, but not completely round or Frankenstein's monster.

However, I fear I may be one of only a couple in SL who would purchase such clothing, and such cannot recommend these wishes too highly if one wishes to make a profit.

/me bows humbly

Silent Sparrow is where I discovered my Fop Side, and Silent Sparrow is where my Elegant Goth Aristocrat shops.

<.<

I'm liking the work there alot..

One thing is I got to be very picky with the prim components of my avatar (forearms, hands, lower legs, feet) and how an outfit looks on it

I'll toss this into the milieu.

A jacket that comes with a "Honey, I'm home" version, meaning there's a prim version that looks like it's flung over one shoulder and comes with the animation for one arm to appear to hold it there. I have no idea if that's really possible to isolate just one arm from the rest of the AO, but it would look something like this:

Weston, try SF Designs. She has a 7 in one suit that's really nice and has many options...and for some reason I'm thinking that's one of them.

Like the PKM Keltiad series? Thinking Thomas Canty clothes?

Hmm maybe, but with a few dashes more futuristic in there too.

Hmm I guess the look would be Star-Warsy but not the cliched Jedi and Sith looks from the films more like the book artwork - classical inspired but with a futuristic twist.

so, what's still missing out there? what's your pleasure?

Well, everyone is calling for more conservative clothes. Thats a good start. For more sexy stuff:

Nice quality crossover halters ... not all slutted out that have no coverage ... just garden variety, cover the whole chest crossover halters.

Nice quality cowl neck tank tops with nice sculptie attachments.

Both of these are not all that popular because avatars with mega-boobs can't wear them and look good ... but with good ads, you might get some play, as these are both really sexy on the right body.

Medieval SHOES. (Not system shoes.)

This ^^ as well as Victorian shoes for various occasions: daily wear, gowns, riding attire. There are probably some in SL, I just haven't found them yet.

I would like to be able to get a mans shirt that is unbuttoned but rather than painted on the body of the shirt would be prim ( kind of like a skirt but higher lol), so it moves when you walk as a rl unbuttoned shirt would. I have seen a couple of jackets made like this but no shirts. Could be I just haven't looked hard enough ;-)

I have found a few Victorian ones, and tiny@boudoir has Baroque ones that I make do for medieval too, they are at least superior to regular pumps (although the Medici invented high heels), or system shoes (shiver).

Purely medieval ones though, in various colors or tintable, aren't to be found. (okay I did find one or two but in navy or burgundy, two colors I'm not fond of for my av)

On the clothes-request topic again - A lot of my male-av friends seem to want 'regular guy' clothes.

Cubic has some prim button-down shirts. I'm not sure about men's ones but I think so.

Oooh definitely... Carhartt style stuff. Barn coats, overalls, dungarees, work boots. YUM.

For that matter, how about some nice fly-fishing gear? Chest-height waders, vests, hats, wading boots, etc. Like Simms or Orvis or the like.

For any guys who wanted nice men's shoes. I'm standing in Calveen Kline's shop. It's called The Shoe Boutique. It's in his SL picks page.

He's got some really nice varieties in men's shoes, and there are nice women's shoes here too. (Just noticed! Oh! He has flat tennies - tennis shoes/trainers - for men or women avs. Squee.) http://slurl.com/secondlife/Bay%20City%20-%20Molesworth/112/153/27

About fishing waders, those would be fun in women's sizes also. I do the Seven Seas thing sometimes.

Shoes that are not only size zero. I'm short but I need my feet to be this big or I'll fall over.
