Just a short break from negativity here, my best experience has to be attending the SL wedding of a friend. What's yours ? :)

Have had so many great experiences in SL, but I will mention the one that came to mind first... It was the time a new resident, who I mentored on help island returned the favor by sharing places she discovered. Guess what? I saw places I have never been to before! Was great to see the awe and enthusiasm she had in what she had discovered!

Is that what made the Sim crash?

No it was you not removing enough clothing to reduce the load! Although I must admit your hat rocked.

This isn't about me. But I'm glad you liked the hat.

Dunno -- a few long talks with friends come to mind, one marathon session with an ex that went for 16 hours straight, a few other things. Hard to pinpoint one of them, really.

So many variations on "best"...

I've had some tremendous experiences - and some throughly ridiculoius ones as well...

I fondly recall being repeatedly ejected from a car while riding and exploring some sims.

I recall with even more fondness a late-into-the-evening conversation which put emotions, concerns and desires out into the light for both of us to review - and the result becoming more than I could have hoped for.

I even recall a few fun bouts with griefers...some of which have been very talented (at griefing)...frustrating at the time, but still something that one can look back on fondly as the learning experiences they are.

So many new sims - the talent of people in SL is so varied, and to find places that are spawned from the minds and imaginations of people...whether they are completely new and unique, or reproductions of RL locations, there are so many to see and enjoy.

Avatar shopping...and then showing them off...is always fun - who has what, or a variation of a theme...or just oddball - and then mixing and matching parts...

Figuring out some particular building tricks has always been thrilling for me - to FINALLY get that prim tortured juuussstt right, and complete the build, or get that script to work correctly, or have that pose or animation finally placed right, so that the desired effect is finally there - those have been some of my best moments in Second Life.

Conversatons and conversations and conversations...I like conversing.

Meeting people that can become good friends...agreeing and disagreeing with friends...forgiving and being forgiven on the few occasions that disagreements become taken too seriously...

I guess there are just too many times to mention - if SL was not rewarding to me on all of these levels and more, I wouldn't come back...

About the 4th day i was in SL i was about to give up, all to confusing and hard.

Then i landed somewhere by mistake and got helped out so much that it completely turned me around.

Got taken by the hand and shown all sorts of stuff.
I was given hair, clothes and not rubbish either all good gear.

So that has to be it

That is truly a cool story. I need to get myself motivated again to get more newbie helping sessions in my group.

Me doing that led to the best three months of my SL experience. It's so much more fun when you're getting paid (my L$500 stipend) to play.

Wow... so many!

The wedding of my in-world parents, and being a flower girl for them. It was so beautiful, and I was so touched with it all, even with the lag and crashed. They both looked so beautiful, and were sooo happy, and we got to dance afterwards. I especially loved my daddy working me an my brother an sister into his vows.

The night my sister was adopted. She was soooo nervous and worried, and she did't know what was going on when she was called over to our house to be told Something Very Important. She was soooo happy. We all was!

Mother's day 2006. Sitting with my mommy on the rocking chair I got for her, and her singing (well, typing, but still) to me an stuff. It was such a wonderful moment.

Christmas morning, 2006. Opening gifts under our virtual tree, and my mommy being sooo happy with her stuff dat she was cryin' IRL too cuz of being happy.

My birthday, 2007. Much smaller tham my 2006 birthday, but still fun, an I got such nice words from my parents dat meaned soooo much to me.

The day my daddy told the story of how he an my mommy got together and courted.

The big huge pillow fight in my room at home, using the super collider and the pillows that emit particle feathers. I was laughing so hard!!

Graduation from HardKnock Elementary, and getting my diploma and being the class valedictorian.

Winning the Bubbly Kidz beauty pageant in 2006.

The day I was adopted, and blew bubbles with my mommy while on a raft in the old pool.

The Zen Gardens was one of my first SL hangouts, even before I 'grew down.' Love the place!

For me, the phrase is "That was *totally* worth it."

We all complain about lag, an griefers, an inventory, an downtime, and all sorts of stuff. But, by and large, we come back. We all really love this place. It's part of why we get so upset sometimes, but this is still the place.

I know dat, for me, I'll take every wonderful memory from here an cherish them. How many other 'video games' can you say dat about?

Getting a tp off Orientation Island from my RL cousin who talked me into coming SL. A whole new, wonderful experience began for me. I've met some great people who counterbalance the griefers and idiots. The good has far outweighed the bad. I love exploring SL and love being amazed by all the fantastic things there are to see and do. Even glitches and lag can't lessen my enjoyment of Second Life.

I was in a sandbox finishing off a building when a shiny metal dragon-like creature squeezed through the door, folding its wings in as it did so. First I thought 'oh no, not another griefer'. But the dragon thing got talking and invited me to go for a flight on its back. It was the most maginificent creature, or perhaps it was a robotic machine, I don't know. It was shiny silver with gold and a few blue jewels. I had a ride and then it let me take control for a minute or so then it landed. What this showed me was just what could be built in SL if you had the knowledege and imagination.

I can mention its name, I think, as I am heaping praise upon it. It was called Be Baraka and I think it was created by the same name.

For me visiting greenies, changed my whole perception of SL,even if i left this virtual world now i would think the whole experience would have been worthwhile just because i'd seen greenies:)
