How to tell if you are being "cammed"

I can tell when they are looking at me because they quickly close there eyes and grab for sunglasses..

The *gist* of your post was insulting and narrow-minded, yet you keep defending it.

Is this really THAT much of a concern when we're likely to become centerfolds in the airports? (OK so that's an exxageration.)

One day IRL, about *mumble* years ago, in the early days of my marriage, I stepped out of the shower, toweled off and walked into the bedroom where I spent a couple minutes browsing a laundry basket ISO a clean pair of shorts.

Looking up, I caught the eye of my neighbor and two of her friends who had apparently been observing my search.

Inwardly shrugging at the thought that the damage had been done, I raised my arm in an Adonis pose, and lowered the shade--to the cheers of my audience.

Naked happens folks. Especially in SL. But HERE, we can choose what we look like.

I hope they all get a good laugh when I flash an Adonis on my trip through the scanners for old times sake.

Since no one has responded to this yet, I'll say that trying to figure out of this person is camming you is not a productive way of handling any sort of abuse (unless you enjoy feeling persecuted and want to make sure its happening). If someone makes a threat, record it, AR the person, mute him or her, and then go on with enjoying SL.

I read an article recently, where a man was arrested for being naked in his own home; because he was in front of a picture window in the living room and knew he was naked and that women and kids were walking by on the way to school and he could easily be seen. That he should have taken care, even in his own home, not to be casually observed by people walking by. I think that's atrocious, he appealed his conviction, that's the last I heard of it.

I've heard similar stories. (But not back then) And I agree that it's terrible that people can't be naked in their own home. In my case, it was a back bedroom and the state of the window never occurred to me.

I'm not an exhibitionist by nature, but I really do believe that people have better things to worry about. Especially in SL.

And to the OP- by all means - AR the culprit! Spying on people is just evil and WRONG!

I thought all sex related poses in SL were already considered voyeurism poses.

I don't even remember Stan Freberg. I've heard a bunch of take-offs of that, though. I think even Bugs Bunny did one.

The camera position/focus point isn't a "server enforceable" element. The client simply has the courtesy to send it back so our avatar head appear to look at this point.

Some clients do not send back those coordinates of course.

Edit: ok i admit the possibility of wanting to know who might be stalking you with a cam..maybe...and the need for privacy if you are at HOME...but I can NOT see why anyone would care about someone reading their profile or knowing who is reading it.
