I have no advice on dancing, but if you are interested in picking up some quality skins now and then at little lindens, both Tuli and MR Cupcake have groups which give out gifts very frequently. Both of them charge $250 to join, however the quality of their skins is very high. Piece of Candy are nice, but these are a lot better.

I recently got a set of skins from Tres Very that was really nice and a great price. 5 skins for 1500L, singles were 495.

I'm not really sure if this is a stupid question but oh well i'm gonna ask anyway lol

Well i've been working as a dancer in a club for about 3 days now and i'm struggling you could say too attract attention too myself. I have a good avi and i'm friendly but yet i've not really had anyone come sit with me or if they do sit down it's for the girl next too me. I've not really made any tips either while working there and i've been doing it pretty non stop for the past two days. So i'm completely blind too what i'm doing wrong.

Is it because i'm new too the establishment that i'm being snubbed so too speak or am i just not good enough lol, it's making me wonder if i should get out now while i can.

Is the SL club scene going down?

I've been lately advising an SL strip club as to getting more customers, and I'll share to you the same thing I share to my client.

People do not go to SL strip clubs to see naked cartoon bodies. They go to make personal connections with other people that make them feel good about themselves.

Looking good helps. Poetic emoting skills help. But most importantly, you need to have that small talk or flirting ability to make your customer feel that you personally appreciate them, you personally find them sexy, and you personally care about why they are there. It's all about them, not you. The most successful dancers are the ones who are best at personally connecting with customers.

In fact, in my casual observation, some of the best tippers seem to find the sexual elements of the club as secondary. They seem to be mainly interested in talking about their day or what's on their mind to someone who is personally attentive to them.

Even though I suspect that current economic conditions may be curbing resident spending on SL dancers, I still see individual dancers who do quite well, and they do well because they are good at connecting with people.

LOL. The lingerie needs to arrive soon because ManU kicks off in 40 minutes, and that'll be me gone for a couple of hours :)

I wonder if the name Baby, with all the paranoia about sexual age play, is causing ppl to shy away from you

have you tried it with your other account, just to see if the name does make any different

(people are strange creatures...)

And dance because you like it, not because you want to get rich...because you probably won't hehe

Excellent advice!

Tipping is all over the board for any occupation where it is appropriate in SL. I'll bet if you asked DJ's, club hostesses, etc. you'd get similar responses.

I teach and I have received everything from a 500L tip to nothing - and "most" don't tip. I teach freelance now so I don't earn a "salary" for my classes, but I will continue to teach regardless of tips because I love it.

I've heard that about RL strippers, too.

I don't know how much I can generalize about this, but it's been my experience that in SL, people don't think about dancers at all, and are really there for the music, the other people, and anything else the club or event may be about. Honestly, most dancers are background to them, like furniture.

I'd also suggest not focusing too much on emoting, but joining any general conversation with the regulars. They're chatting and if you are lively and engaged in normal chat, they will get to know you and be more likely to tip.

I agree with this, I have seen a few clubs where strippers appeared to be the primary focus, but they were escort clubs (and therefore the strippers weren't the primary focus lol)

edit: the underwear has been sent, and I wait with evil anticipation hehe

and received. The pics (3 of them to choose from) have been sent :)

I had to rush them because I fancied myself too much in that lingerie, and I couldn't look at them for long without feeling somewhat weird :/
