My Question is this: Can I have more than one music stream/url running at the same time... If I parcel my land up into different plots, as I own an Island, and I was thinking of streaming different types of music in different areas... I don't want to have to use players to do this unless I really have to. I was wondering if I could do this via the 'land management tab' or not. I've also not tried this as I'm not in SL at the moment, and this though just occured to me a little while ago. So any sane comments/responses to this would be appreciated. _____________________

Perhaps there is some magic gizmo that can send parcel streams to more than just one parcel by communicating with networked similar gizmos What i would really like to see would be one that could randomly change your streams as the day goes by to presets you've chosen for the parcel so that for example at night you have soft romantic jazz and in the morning you have a world beat. _____________________

I've seen other people do it with good results, and so now I am about to do it myself. I am looking for some good music urls to pipe into the sim where my store is and also one for my island home. I have scrounged around on line with no results, and now I am throwing myself on the mercy of the forum. Anyone have any good ones? I'd prefer some classic rock and today's music types...no country or hip hop need apply. Brangus has a nice one: http://64.22.115.194:8064 A mix of pop, classic, no hip hop. The other day he had some kind of an issue and accidentally played a Christmas carol, though. LOL Says it's fixed. |

I don't think there are any media controls at the estate or region level, just at the parcel level. As for the gizmo you mention, such a think could certainly be done, if it hasn't already.

Ya know, I recall being made to apologize and/or hug my various siblings when I was little, as if such a thing would make the causes of the conflict go away. I grew up thinking that apologies are pretty much a dishonest act and only something you do in order to get people off your back and get on with your life. I still can't understand parents who think that conflicts can be resolved by forcing an insincere "sorry". It only made me want to give my sister a further smack upside the head. _____________________

not many posts, yes.. new, no. I have been reading the forums ever since starting SL... and like RL, so many petty disagreements turn into sh*t throwing tantrums. Just like my kids, LOL. I have three kids, one in college, HS and MS, and they all are well adjusted and have learned to forgive from the heart. Its a good skill to learn. Call me naive, but it has worked for me.
