When you KNOW you are going to be exploring a goth area for example), do you dress for the occasion?

Do you change into winter clothes when exploring snow covered sims?

Put on space suits for sky box explorations?

etc etc.

I usually do it the other way around, actually. I like to take pics, so I'll often seek out sims which complement whatever I put on that day.

I am bumping you to an 8.5 on the Official Trout Measuring Instrument of Sluttiness. You are an enigma - on the one hand a sweet, gentle, intelligent woman who we would like to wrap up in our arms and protect, and on the other, a temptress to whom we would like to do all sorts of unmentionable things.

Congratulations and shame on you! You are a bit of a slut.

I rarely change attire for an environment. I do, however, change for specific events--I have a different AV I use when I host GBD events.

If there was a special-event, I would definitely dress appropriately...but those are far and few between. On my general travels, I look and dress the same way I'm dressed in my signature.

Yes. I have so many items in my clothing folders that it's a great excuse to use them. I mean--unless I'm with friends going from a dance club to a coffee shop. That would be silly.

I tend to wear similar stuff most of the time, but I'll change into some beachwear I made (didn't like any of the super sexy stuff) for going to a beach, and I made myself a nice warm wooly jumper for snowscapes :D

I also have a whole bunch of special outfits for fancy dress events. Plus a more explore-type outfit I wore a lot when exploring Halloween adventures.

I take lots of pics too so I like to fit in with the background I guess.

Having said that........ most of the time you'll find me in one of my fave long velvet dresses :)

I change clothing all the time. For daily wear, I tend to be in jeans or a nice dress. Then I just pick from whatever stikes my mood that day, mix and match.

But if exploring special sims, I do put on clothing that matching the mood, unless it's a spur of the moment thing. But even then, I usually will change once there.

I have outfits already saved i.e; evening wear, goth outfits, costumes, avatars, swimsuits, things for winter, boating, what have you all complete with the shoes, jewelry, mystitool, flight feathers, my walk of choice, hair, etc. So, I'm ready to go at an instant.

If I know in advance what the proper attire is, I will 99% of the time change, unless I'm only going to be there a few minutes.

I explore so much I can't possibly be dressed for every sim I visit. LOL I do change all the time tho, just for fun and because I come up with new concepts for my photography all the time so I will morph my AV to suit the subject. Sometimes it is directly related to a sim I want to photograph....like the other day I happened on a cool Rezzable sim that was frozen over like a wintry icy wonderland. I searched high and low for a fur coat LOL I finally got together the look I wanted for the shots and went back to take the photos.

I think at this point I have enough in my inventoy where I probably never have to wear the same thing twice. LOL Perhaps I need to put a secondhand room in my shop....eek. lol

I prefer to explore with clothing that doesn't dislocate every sim crossing or teleport personally.

I'll change for certain areas. For example, I wear a different outfit when I visit the Chebi Mosque than when I visit the Synagogue. In general, though, I don't change what I wear based on location.

I always turn up at the ballrooms in my scruffiest tee and faded, ripped jeans.

The host always points me to a free tuxedo ... I got seven now!

Well, actually, I'm wearing my EUTAFFIA Children in Need tee 24/7 at the mo. Morgaine's still in the Med on her Gorean Slave Galley so I go where *I* go .. and sometimes bump into Brenda :D

Ball gowns of every sort and amount of cloth :) Unless going to a different sort of club or to a beach - then I would change. At home also, flowing gowns, unless just threw something one -then jeans and a coordinating top.

( lol ) I spend as much time choosing my clothing in SL as in RL, maybe more ;)

I try to dress the part when entering themed or RP environments, out of a respect to the residents. When the area is less specific (like the hangout for example), I don't worry about it.

I do! I think dressing to match where you're going is a big part of the fun. I have a couple of Victorian dresses in my closet that will go into my steamer trunk when I finally get around to that long visit to Caledon I've been gassing about for ages.

I need to get some cute sweaters and gloves and furry coats for all the snow sims that are popping up lately!

Which reminds me...how about a group shopping trip?

The Goal is: Winter Clothes.
The Day is: Tomorrow (Thursday, November 15).
The Meeting Place is: The Forum Hangout

I'm a bit flexible on time, but I suggest sometime around 6 to 8 pm SLT.

Anybody can come! Just bring a couple of LMs for likely-looking stores, and your $L.

I tend to just wear everyday clothes most of the time - like jeans and T shirt or shorts and sports top, or maybe a summer dress or quite often nothing at all!

But whenever I go on a planned flight, I put on my jetpack, crash helmet and fireproof flying suit. It just seems right to do so. Obviously, if I've just fallen in a ravine and need to get out, I don't bother.

I have so many clothes and accessories that I always do my best to find an outfit to match. I don't get chance IRL to dress up much so SL is great for me.
Once I have created an outfit I make a little folder for it and label it accordingly, I then stick it in my outfits folder - unless I have a no copy item. In which case I have to remember to add this next time :) Next time I visit the sim I can drop this folder and away I go :D
I love changing outfits constantly and I am always changing my shape etc. Unless im in a 'I really can't be arsed' mood. in which case I dress randomly and go.

My fave outfit atm is a green flexi prim dress with dark brown hair called minerva (I think) and my little sandals :) All complete freebies. i think I look pretty nice in that :)

I do change for locations at times (I'm gonna wear a sweater in winter sims, at the least!), and I also sometimes seek out locations for my attire (for my piccies) like was also mentioned.

I was in a wintery sim earlier doin' a shot when a newbie wanted through in a bikini: she laughed when I suggested she might be cold. ;-)

I almost always dress for the occasion. For example, I wear cowboy clothes when going to a western saloon, casual "blues" style clothing when going to a blues or jazz club, or a suit when going to an upscale establishment. In SL, my goal is to experience as much "realism" as possible. Proper clothing helps considerably and simply makes things a lot more fun.

I am a little jealous of the ladies, however, who have tons of clothing available in stores in comparison to men's clothing.

Yes, absolutely. For example, if I am in a tropical sim I'll wear a Sarong or a swimsuit. If I am under water, I have a full SCUBA gear set that I wear. In general I will wear street clothes. In snowy places I dress for Winter. In a medaeval or fantasy sim I wear a fancy historical gown. In a Japanese themed sim I wear Japanese clothes. In sims that don't allow furries, I arrive as a Human.

If I go somewhere and realize I simply don't fit the theme, I usually will change appearance to siut my surroundings, unless I am just doing a quick "TP In, Buy, TP Out" excursion.

If going somewhere formal I do.. thats about the only thing I choose for specifically though..

Oh and if going to a friend of mine's place (Specific friend) I wear certain clothes.. iono... just seems right in her Home....

other than that... I dress how I feel. I change clothes where I am quite often too...

EDIT:: Oh and sometimes if I'm going to be staying a while someplace especially gothic I will.. but most of my clothes are kinda dark anyway^^

Oh wait.. another one, at the job I'm working, building a japanese lecture hall and some other stuff, I think one of the two people who will be using it has only seen me in japanese/asian outfits lol.. and with my two swords at my hip.... I dress for there.. I do ^^ I love that place

I tend to try to dress for the occasion. For example, if I'm busy just making something, I'll dress more casually. Right now, I'm working on making my land into a "winter wonderland", so usually wear something "warmer" when I'm working on it. If I'm going shopping, I like to wear a nice dress. For exploring, well...I just pretty much pick a favorite that fits in at most places where I go. I haven't really visited any big role playing sims yet, so not sure how I will dress when I do go to one. It's funny how my "style" has changed since I first came to SL. At first, I dressed a little "trashier", but now I'm finding I like "classy but sexy" better. Of course, that could be because Simone! is having a ton of sales lately, so I'm snatching up gorgeous stuff at a 100L (or less) each. Her stuff is gorgeous, but overall looks classier than some other places (IMO anyway). Even her slutwear has a classy look to it. ;) Since I have a lot of her stuff, it seems to influence my overall "look" at all times.
