Welcome to my everyday life in Sl, shopping exploring clubbing... everydays the same just the jerks are different.

I did find my SL runs smoother with logging turned off. so now its varies on where im going if its on or not.

I never been attacked in SL, nor even yelled at cursed or otherwise put down.. I am just usually ignored.. which is fine.. I am a very quiet non smalltalk kinda person anyway.

It's like High school but You are mixing teens, 20, 30, 40, 50 + somethings and there is bound to be conflict.. I generally tend to float twords the older set because I find a bit less drama.. No offence to the youngins its just that most of you are still playing stupid games and its like been there done that......

I really dont understand much of your post, but I can see the hurt you got from this incident. It's to bad we do not live in a perfect second life where everyone loves each other... You however should not have stayed, but I can understand your need to defend yourself against such crap. Stay away frm that club, if they were part of the actual club then you dont need to be in that anyway, if they were just visiting like you then the club owner should have done something to stop it. In either case, its not worth going to.

Yummy, I am not in world at the moment to look. But are you a member of "the gang"? If so put out a call in group chat and people will be there like flies on fecal matter. And we really do have members who could mess up their SL in a bad way. I wouldn't mess with us.

I got attacked by a griefer the other day. A standup comic called up asking for help, and said this person had been targeting him and locking up his viewer and he couldn't do his show.

So I went to that location, and sure enough here was this avatar with a little black pinhead talking smack to his friends. I just stood there. Pretty soon he starts calling me filthy names. Then he comes up and bumps against me...and hundreds of drop down blue boxes start stacking up, with filthy words on all the menu buttons. I got so many of them my viewer froze and I had to re-log.

Very frustrating.

Anyway, I'll take Eveline to that club tonight. She's REALLY good at dishing on yammerheads, and I might be able to be a little help too.

First thing, I IM the owners when griefed in a venue of any sort -- no business owner wants patrons chased away. I do that whether or not I know the owner, as courteously and briefly as I can. Include griefing avatar's name. Surprisingly often, someone with ban/eject rights shows up soon.

Immy's excellent post on ARing, that she cited above, is a must as well.

I like to go away briefly and come back with view transparencies on and 'include UI' on for pictures - that way I can usually get a pic of the guy's whole setup, complete with avatar name, for the AR. Then move more than 100m away, and fill out the full AR at leisure.
