Unremovable Bras and panties?

If Ll truley plans on releasing SL like this next patch their gona lose a lot of customers. I will be outraged if this isn't a bug... The worse part of it is you have to relog to change your clothes or skin now. But Only HUMANS have a issue with indecency and wish to cover themselves up. Do not force this upon furries please...

Goreans either. Gors are usually ALWAYS nude if their slaves. I noticed this also happens in Mature sims so it isn't PG sim only. I was talking about it to a friend of mine. I now am starting to believe LL is about ot remove the teen grid and make the adult grid 100% PG... There goes philips dream down the crapper i guess... Mine too.

Kelly, that sounds a bit vague. Can you clarify? Are you saying that you haven't had a chance to try and reproduce the bug so you don 't know if it's even really happening or why it's happening, if, in fact, it is really happening? But, it's your opinion that this must be a bug, not a feature?

I mean this in the nicest way. I'm sure you're very busy and very well-meaning. But, this troubles me. We have 3 days to release of this version. Monday is a holiday and you won't be in. This would be a disastrous bug if released to the main grid. Many, many users will be screaming bloody murder.

Can we get some traction on this very serious bug? Can we have it investigated, acknowledged and added to the known issues page? As of today, it's not there. Can we get it *fixed* in preview, please?

I'm trusting that it really is a bug and not a feature. Confirmation from management would be nice. If it is indeed an unannounced feature... God help us all.

I belive that Almitra's post was asking questions and raising concerns, not calling anyone a liar. The post was asking if Kelly had actually investigated the problem or was just offering an opinion. The post seemed to imply that Kelly may not have all the facts, but I don't think it wa calling her a liar.

I did some client editing. Edited the TGA's in the SL folder. I made the undergarments full alpha to hide them. it worked for my cleint, but i fired up my other computer to use another account so i could view myself and i still saw the ugly. So any changes you make to those files only effect your client. I should have known that but yea... If SL gets released like this were gona have to start making clothes that look like nude skins. So it's kinda pointless for LL do add this code since it will within 5 minutes be altered to apear it hasn't changed.

Seems less like a bug and more like a feature to me. But, I'm a bit paranoid. Disneyfication scares me.

The texture in question (for men) is called underpants_trial_male.tga and is in your c:\program files\secondlife\character folder. I reinstalled an older version of SL to check if the texture had been recently added. The oldest version of SL I could find was 1.5.8 from December, 2004. The texture has apparently been included with the client since then. The date on the texture was 8/22/2003, so it appears that the texture has been around forever.

Why the texture is appearing baked into the skin now is a mystery we await the answer to.

While waiting for the problem to be solved I suggest everyone attempt to acquire a white poorly made underwear fetish.

Look, if I have to dress all seven of my cats in little pants and shirts to cover their disgusting, lewd and imoral nakedness IRL, then you furries in SL should do the same.

Or just keep snickering that your work or the work of the designers is far superior to what those undies look like

It seem readily apparent that we got the Teen Grid deafault 'can't take off your underwear' by MISTAKE on the preview grid. It a bug, they will fix it, and its likely an easy fix that won't delay the release. They probably just uploaded the wrong code to the preview grid (teen instead of main).

I was stating a point. Humans usually wear clothes because they do not wish to expose themselves in the nude. It makes mosrtr of them uncomfertable. Furries on the other hand aren't that way. Some of them might be but most aren't. Anyway back on topic!... >.>

Kelly says that it's a bug, and they will fix it, back out the change that caused it, or defer the release until they fix it.

Is it the same underwear that the teen grid uses? It seems kind of odd that a bug could make some underwear with a texture that looks like fabric. Maybe I just imagined it looked like fabric.

Not rly. My nephew showed me the TG once. The underwear they have their is whatever they put on, but they cant remove it unless they put on another pair. So they made full alpha undies lol.
