all of this stuff the thread was about has been over for weeks and none of the "war" talked about in this thread lasted for more then a day or two, its the same as the dozens of times before lol.

now if you poeple complaining want to have fun in jessie please come around with a better attitude and less lag/tracking weapons.

plenty of people come around to see jessie for themselves despite the rumors and as they come with a good attitude even if they are shooting there are no problems afterwards.

all depends on your intentions and attitude.

What do people get out of living in a 100% damage sim, surely not bragging rights because at the first sign of any hostile invader the aimbots go up, I equate you losers to the type of people that use aimbots in other games. And yes I'll group Jessie all as one because it's a lookalike damage sim where people especially new might thing there is a prospect for some pvp but then when you finally realiaze the LLAMAS that live there place aimbots everywhere around the borders of the land and aren't that nice to anyone with questions to begin with anyway.

It's sad, sad for the people that wanted to have a RLDM real life damage whatever system.

Turn it around, Turn off fly in Jessie, make it a real damage sim, rebuild and get rid of the lame tracking scripts, you guys can't even handle one person attacking without turning on your "autobots".

I tried my own little incursion on Jessie and what I found was a bunch of carebear wimps whining, saying I was shooting from outside the zone-whitch I wasn't, I had tracking turrets on me the second time I came, died multiple times in the name of a good time, but I suppose some peopel thing that living in a damage sim is martha stewart home living all good, then when one person comes and stirs up any sort of hostile action the turrets are up instantly, I can't count how many of those lame blue balls chased me over the borders till I finally gave up running from them and blitzed around. I don't care if I die in a damage zone, it's part of the game. You people in Jessie(not all residents) but the few that sit back and think your shit doesn't stink need to wake up and realize it's one of 2 large damage sims and the only populated one, there are alot of guns to play with and your turret scripts are just lame, your the same as any aimbot haxxor in any game when you put up that crap. It just shows you can't fight a fair fight. Not that it's for in the first place because you allready own create the land setup whatever defense you want in the first place to begin with.

I vote lindens should just make Jessie a carebear sim that it allready is, so I dont' get neg rated and pushed while in CLYDE! for even attempting to have some pvp action.
certain residents have ruined the sim that was at first glance a fun game of capture the flag or deathmatch battle ala opfor's slums into turret script wars.

Grow up, turn off the lame tracking weapons, you can rez wherever you want if you live there so turn them off, disable flyign if it makes a diffrence and turn Jessie into a fun sim to goof around in and play with guns like it was intended to be.

And don't use the excuse it's our home bullshit, because it's a damage zone and you knew it was, probably why you live there.

Only thing I can equate the current so called warriors of Jessie with is Counter Strike Aimbot styled Haxxorz.

You own the sim as a group make the rules.

If your rules are don't come in here shooting or we will set tracking turrets on you then fine. Enjoy your boring existence, but if you want a combat sim then get rid of it all rebuild and disable flight, make Jessie into something that can be appreciated not a haven for carebears, and yes allot of the WW2 are huge carebears, underage or not I've heard some serious baby cryin BS, ala you shot us from clyde whitch I didn't. If I could shooot into your area from a non damage I would have and reported it as a bug anyway, I got to deal with little bitches with push guns pushing me in non damage sims into jessie where create object wasn't allowed,. neg rating and alot of other junk just to prove my own point.

I was even told to fight fair after wiping out a group of kids, because I had push enabled on bullets, and at the same time a little blue tracking ball had been chasing me around the sim for a minute.

GET REAL! GROW UP!

Make Jessie a place everyone can enjoy a battle in or leave it to someone who is old enough to know how to.

When I first came to Second Life, the forums would fill with people complaining about being shot flying over, through, in Jessie.

Up and down the forums the debates raged fast and furious.

The usual answer when something like:

"STFU Loser! Jessie is the OUTLANDS! It's NOT SAFE... don't live there if you can't hack it -- Jessie is a COMBAT ZONE!'

So now it is accepted that Jessie is a combat zone - it's not safe..
And the posts are now:

"Just that we Jessians get attacked tracking weapons most of the time. When we get attacked we are building and it annoys us when we get killed then."

I see Jessie quite often -- I've lived in Taber for nearly a year.

Maybe you didn't wish for this personally - but the group that claimed Jessie as their own (ironically the WWIIOL group) had a great part in making it what it is today.

So in short - Don't bitch about being shot in Jessie.. to paraphrase those that came before you:

You dont seem to know your history, the first gun script was made by a linden, the first player made gun script was a modified version by BuhBuhChu Fairchild.

As for 'abusing the gun script'. History is rife with examples of folks striving for the next 'better' weapon. There has ALWAYS been an arms race of some kind or another. You expect SL to be any diferent?

ive lived in jessie since the day it was opened to building and since the day the first trackers came ive always encouraged people to only use em when necessary.


siggy im not complainiing at all i die all the time and could care less, all i ask is that people who want to have war or something please try to do it for fun not for some grudge or some dumb ideal of driving us out.

believe it or not we do have more good straight up gun to gun fights the the other crap, its just the other stuff gets more attention.

sure i guess some people may not share the same opinion as me but i know most agree overall.

anyway, people act like jessie has changed, when in reality the buildings have changed the population has changed a bit, but jessie is about hte same its always been, it only seems to be different to some people on the outside.

even the residents havent changed much over the past year, still much of the same residents that have always been around.

anyway, if you have suggestions and constructive criticism then by all means continue but if all you want to do is pile on and throw around unfounded accusations and insults then dont bother.

everyone is welcome in jessie, even people we may have had past issues with, we've made up with lots of folks we have been at odds with.
