That post was off-topic, pointless, and weird. Although, isn't every other post in this thread off-topic, pointless, and weird?!?! :D

You can't kill a thread when the subject line has become a catch phrase.

And I heard you can wander round Jessie these days without seeing any signs of fighting, too (not that I've tried it myself)

Last time I went I got cussed out so bad for using a static shield on a guys push gun that sent his object back at him and orbited him omg wish I could post that screenshot, would break the TOS though.

Some of us have moved on and out of the Jessie scene and are now members of the general SL public.

Though I am still an officer in WWIIOLers and go there from time to time.
I normally just fly around to see whats changed and wait till the first n00b shoots me.
Then I come back to the sim, set my home point to my land there and play with my toys.
Last time I was there Chaunsey had made some cool buildings.

I am enjoying my time as a fugitive on the run :p

Anyways, I decided to experiment with living in Jessie a few months ago in order to grab both sides of the Jessie incident for my Jessie documentry entitled, "Trouble In Paradise". However, I quickly became involved in my own project more than I wanted to be. I tagged along with one specific group and came to the conclusion they're defending their homeland. They interpret other people as "invaders" to their land while the "invaders" think of the Jessians as invaders to their paradise. My conclusion after my first few weeks became that this is a war of understanding. Both sides think of themselves as the same and in reality, they are both the same. But, unfortunately, they both feel the same way about the opposite side. I quickly came a little too involved with the Jessians and began to fight against certain invaders such as those from the Capone Don Mafia. Many weeks rolled by and the government finally took action on many Jessians. Several of us were caught the first day while others were taken in an almost scattered form after the first day. I know one of those caught on the first day was able to escape and keep his identity, one managed to escape but was quickly shot down, and I was able to escape, but I have not kept my identity. My trial is pending due to some conflicting issues with the Second Life Court Systems. I feel I could finish my documentry, but I prefer to make it back into the world before I finish my documentry. Since I've been gone, I've been told the Jessians who once inhabited the land of Jessie are all but gone, taken down by the system, their land sold to the land tycoons to be resold to those who wish to rebuild the once torn battleground. Stand on a peice of parcel and wonder what once stood there. Imagine someone's dream home that was once there. Imagine the once great monument which occupied the skies above you. One thing Second Life lacks is history. There is so much history in the land. The pioneers of the early days, the first steps taken by those who have been long gone.

Basically, I know some historical preservation groups do exist, but it's not enough for some certain people to record history. It's an effort needed to be taken by ALL residents of Second Life. So the future can see their roots. They can see the pioneers that once stood where they stood.

I'm glad I got that out of my system :D
