Allow me to geek for just a sec, but if he isn't already in, I'd love to see Wil Weaton in here.
Then again, maybe the rabid Trek fans would drive him away.

I bet Wil Wheaton would be interested in SL, what with
his support for EFF, his recent hosting of a games show on G4, and his popular blog: http://www.wilwheaton.net/ Wonder what would happen if we e-mailed him, and encouraged him to try it out... |

Wonder what would happen if we e-mailed him, and I emailed him. He replied and expressed interest. So then. Be nice to folks in world. You never know who they are. _____________________

Then again, maybe we shouldn't get our celebrities involved with our obsession, or they won't have time to do the things we love to see them do anymore. Imagine how it would be if Steven Spielberg and George Lucas slacked off on moviemaking because they were spending so much time SLing (I'm still waiting for that last Indiana Jones movie), or if Gene Hackman had no more time to act anymore. Hmmm...no, you're right...Gene Hackman would still have time to act; he'd just be in 80 movies a year instead of 100.

To revive this topic a bit: how many celebrity AVs are there in SL? Misnomer Jones has a pretty impressive James Dean AV, and Dave Zeeman has a solid Keanu Reeves-as-Neo AV... what others we got out there?

Nope, can't think of a single one myself.
Wait!! That face in the mirror. Isn't that...? Nope, no celebs around here. Especially, none that resemble that Rowan Atkinson fellow. _____________________

Pardon my previous cryptic attempt at modesty. I tend to forget that most people outside the UK aren't familiar with the character. For those who might be interested, try this:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/comedy/blackadder/ or perhaps: http://www.blackadderhall.co.uk/ Again, a thousand pardons. I promise to have my servant, Baldrick, beat me over the head with a shovel for my insufferable lack of judgment. _____________________

Actually Darwin, I have been involved in a few such ventures over the years. As has my cousin, the recently appointed Royal gardener Sir Osmand Darling-Blackadder.
And, come to think of it, I've still not received a single penny for it. Pardon me, I must find my agent and give him a damn good thrashing. By the way, loved your "Theory of Evolution." Brilliant! Perhaps in your next book you could explain where Avatars come from...pixel mutation perhaps?? _____________________
