Heh, OK, so we've got Mickey Rourke, at least.

Lyra makes a very good point: I can very easily see SL becoming a haven for established artists, who'd like to try playing with a new medium with a new audience, and try out the Linden tools. I definitely hope Notes can do something to bring folks like that in here.

Oh, and if Ted Turner happens to be hiding around, come see me.. I think I have a job for you in my media corporation....

You know, it recently occured to me that both Bruce Sterling and Neal Stephenson are members of the WELL, a conferencing system where I also host. I'm gonna spam them an invite, and offer to show them around. "Hi Neal, come look at the closest thing to the MetaVerse..."

I'm in the middle of Neal's book and I can't put the thing down (except to play SL). BBC got me into it and I bet he (along with anyone else who's read Snow Crash) would love to hear Neal's opinions on SL.
I say give Neal a Linden name where we all know it's him, then let him pick a player name and keep that a secret ;)

If I remember right, I got into an online argument with him about communism, a few years back. (Hopefully he doesn't remember, 'cause at the time I was being a brat.)

Neal... it isn't that damned Snow Crash book is it? In that case, I'd rather have Gibson.

You're welcome Ly.. you've always seemed so graceful and composed to me. <grins>

And Hamlet.. <points and peers> NAME DROPPER!

I've thought of a couple of other people I'd like to see.. maybe Brian Froud or Jim Henson's son. I can't remember his name though! Is he also Brian?

How would we know if they were who they said they were? Unless someone were to tape the celeb actually interacting with us, how would we know if it was them or the president of their fan club or a poser? :p

I think it'd be a trip (no pun intended) to see Alex Grey. Think of the creativity he would bring to SL! Of course, I would love to see Gaiman, Stephenson and Gibson here. From the musical aspect, I think it would be pretty interesting to see Maynard from TOOL and Tori Amos (*cough* Kate Bush) but if they showed up, we'd never hear any new music from them in the future...

I don't think it'd be a good idea for their presence to be known though... except by me, because I'm special :)

OH! I know! I want the gang from Trading Spaces on to do a virtual room makeover. I guess the carpenters would get the time off to mess around in world tho ;)
