But let's not look for revenge - a prim for a prim leaves the whole world primless, and my slider hair is pretty damned ugly. _____________________

well there are some valid points here. SL would not be what it is today without the residents....we should have a say in what goes on in SL ! But there are ways to approach this issue, and force isn't the way. As for the SLLA.....You won't last 1 hour in SL with your liberation. With the flick of a switch you'll be done. I saw them shut down a SIM in less than 5 minutes because I called in a complaint against smeone shooting at my friends and I. And all your computer addresses are already logged into the main offices of Linden Labs....they could EASILY not only ban your avatars, but can ban your computer from ever accessing SL again....so no more Avatar alts for you. Good luck with that. ~mark makes plans for some RL activities on that day...knowing that SL will be shutdown to deal with an exploit~ The problem with their plan is residents will suffer from it way more than LL will. These "targeted" strategically important places translate into people with popular spots, and they are gonna be mighty ticked off. And not at LL. coco _____________________

As part of the overall campaign the SLLA has also introduced prop 1769. This simple feature proposal gives an opportunity for residents to put pressure on Linden Labs to introduce the voting rights we are seeking.
Prop 1769 was introduced in response to a large number of well meaning suggestions made to the SLLA. We did not initially consider this option as we contend that you cannot negotiate with a governmental system such as the one, which exists in Second Life. However, we believe that a twin strategy is a useful way to proceed at this time. Therefore, military operations will also commence as planned. |

I think that the issue raised here is rather important. In a place with no national boundaries, what kind of government will we have? And isn't it odd that you're worried about people worrying about getting rights in a game? Shouldn't you be using the time you spend reading and posting on the forums to make a difference in the real world, if that's all that matters?  Of course not, because many of us recognize that SL is the future format for how we communicate, play, and work online. I'm interested to see how this story plays out.
