What exactly do they want to vote about? I wasn't really interested enough to go search their site and read a manifesto (as I'm sure that's what I'd find). More freedom then the utter freedom we have at the moment? How? Edit: attacking several key locations in order to get the 'government' to meet one's demands... sounds an awful lot like a terroristic organisation to me... And I know it's illegal in RL, and I bet it's illegal in SL as well. I wonder how long before your group's members will be banned, and arrested by the RL FBI... And guaranteed that they have a few agents on these forums and inworld to keep an eye on things. *waves to the friendly sunglassed, suited men in the nondescript prim van parked just outside his SL virtual home* |

well there are some valid points here.
SL would not be what it is today without the residents....we should have a say in what goes on in SL ! But there are ways to approach this issue, and force isn't the way. As for the SLLA.....You won't last 1 hour in SL with your liberation. With the flick of a switch you'll be done. I saw them shut down a SIM in less than 5 minutes because I called in a complaint against smeone shooting at my friends and I. And all your computer addresses are already logged into the main offices of Linden Labs....they could EASILY not only ban your avatars, but can ban your computer from ever accessing SL again....so no more Avatar alts for you. Good luck with that. ~mark makes plans for some RL activities on that day...knowing that SL will be shutdown to deal with an exploit~ |

In a place with no national boundaries, what kind of government will we have? And isn't it odd that you're worried about people worrying about getting rights in a game? Shouldn't you be using the time you spend reading and posting on the forums to make a difference in the real world, if that's all that matters?  Of course not, because many of us recognize that SL is the future format for how we communicate, play, and work online. I'm interested to see how this story plays out. |
