Quesoland, not Hiroland

Well, the people who agree with you seem to be alts of people who don't like me already, so I doubt it.

I have kept it civil. If people don't like me because of comments I've made civilly, then honestly I don't care what they think. You can't please everyone.

Honestly, I knew what Hiro Queso did in-world first. In the past I have had reason to communicate with people who are in the land business. I don't know what the other does but I guess it has something to do with those e-sex poseballs? My involvement with poses has been limited mostly to getting free ones from friends and buying Reverie furniture.

I'll see that trademark...it won't stop me calling the place I live Hiroland though. If Hiro Q were setting out to use the name there might be a small soupcon of a point to this thread, but as he doesn't, you're nowhere.

Even if you formally adopted the name of Hiro as a trademark in world or out of it you STILL wouldn't be able to stop people calling Hiroland, Hiroland...and if ever there was a way to crystallize the name in the collective conscious, think you just found it.

You can't stop me calling it HIROLAND any more than the twin arches of Beelzebub can make me use their name.

Yes, if you really really want to call it Hiroland, it's in your rights. But, I'm asking people not to. Asking.

Please cite where I've made any demands or have been uncivil in this thread, and I'll be happy to retract / clarify / apologize. Otherwise, lose the tone, please.

You can make a request, of course, and you have received a pretty unanimous answer. You have also been fairly rude in implying that only alts have come to this thread to support other people's right to use the name Hiro should they choose. As far as I am aware none of the people posting are alts, and it was a cheap shot.

Hiro is well loved by people in the game, for his fair dealing and for his non-pompous, non-patronising attitude. That's all.

Do you mean with the exception of calling a couple of people alts? You have accused me of being an alt on more than one occasion. Just because people happen to disagree with you, does not make them an alt and the next time you accuse me of being one I will AR you.

The bottom line is that Hiro Q will not change the name of his business because he himself did not devise the name Hiroland. Others use it and will continue to do so. End of story really.

nvm, it's late. I don't care about this thread anymore. I haven't for nearly 8 hours when I changed post 1. I'm letting this one alone.

I think the general opinion is that Hiroland remains Hiroland, and there is no confusion.

I didn't assume it was general opinion in the whole of SL among the membership. And keeping score on this thread isn't very gruelling...can't see why it is obnoxious either, sorry.

I just thought I'd add my puny little opinion here -- I know withoiut question which Hiro I think of when I hear references to Hiroland. I also know which George Bush I thnk of when I hear references to "Goerge Bush" and to Junior, W or Sr.

Seems to be a bit of egotism wrapped up in attention/drama seeking going on here.

Then again... as I said, the above is just my opinion.

I really do shop at a place named Dick's Sporting Goods. It reminded me of this thread since Dick is a common name and there do seem to be a lot of Dicks in my world.
