From: Hiro Pendragon You expecting your stopping posting would stop all trolling? Are you suddenly the Che Guevara of trolling? No. But you know what? When you stopped posting, the trolling from YOU stopped. That's really all that matters. So all you're really saying is that you'd like me to stfu and go away because you don't like the way I choose to express myself? Hmm. Let me think about that for a while and I'll get back to you. From: someone It's sad you take pleasure in your intimidating other people. I am reasonably positive that there is no one here that is intimidated by me. (Hands up anyone who is intimidated by me?). But it's good that fearless little you is here to champion their cause. From: someone No. The difference between my posts and yours is that trolling is in fact against the rules of the forum, whereas my posts don't violate posting guidelines. I would think that this is a matter of opinion. Others have expressed contrary opinions to this elsewhere on both sides of your assertion. (I know you don't like contrary opinions) From: someone I don't want you to stop posting. Darn, Now I'm confused. I don't know what you want from me. From: someone I want you to stop hiding behind your Internet personality and being such an instigator. If you treated people like this in real life, they'd punch you in the face. I wasnt aware you knew me? How do you know that this is my 'internet personality'?! What if I told you that I am exactly the same face to face as I am in text? Presumably you would simply discount it as fallacy because it doesn't fit your preconception? And I can assure you that anyone attempting to punch me in the face would get the same back or up on charges depending on my mood that day. And as for instigator, well... pot, kettle, black, troll.

From: Kris Ritter So all you're really saying is that you'd like me to stfu and go away because you don't like the way I choose to express myself? Hmm. Let me think about that for a while and I'll get back to you. No, the forum rules are saying that. I'm saying you should follow the forum rules. From: someone I am reasonably positive that there is no one here that is intimidated by me. (Hands up anyone who is intimidated by me?). But it's good that fearless little you is here to champion their cause. Ha! Funny. If they are intimidated then they wouldn't raise their hands, duh. From: someone I would think that this is a matter of opinion. Others have expressed contrary opinions to this elsewhere on both sides of your assertion. (I know you don't like contrary opinions) It's not contrary opinions that make something invalid, or contrary opinions to the contrary opinions, it's personal attacks and intentionally pushing peoples' buttons which you admit you do. From: someone Darn, Now I'm confused. I don't know what you want from me.
Behave like an adult here? From: someone I wasnt aware you knew me? How do you know that this is my 'internet personality'?! What if I told you that I am exactly the same face to face as I am in text? Presumably you would simply discount it as fallacy because it doesn't fit your preconception?
No, I'd say that explains why you have so much pent up frustration. From: someone And I can assure you that anyone attempting to punch me in the face would get the same back or up on charges depending on my mood that day.
I'm certain. I was making a point though - you behave like a "troll" in real life - instigating, throwing insults at people - and people will take offense to it, not be nice to you, and generally you won't go as far in life as you could.

From: Almarea Lumiere The discussion about children in SL is a distraction from the real issue.
Griefers are far more often men than they are underage.
Victims of sexual predation are not limited to minors, and the fact is that almost all sexual predators are men.
Ban men from Second Life. Keep them out!!! Give them a gun and a bottle of beer and send them on their way!
I have played a lot of online games with men in the past, for the most part they are annoying and don’t listen. Every once in a while you can find a man who has their act together in an online community, but it's rare.
Even if they aren’t all troublemakers, at best they are a distraction. Their lack of maturity simply makes coexistence unpleasant for everyone.
Now there is always going to be “the one sensitive man / the one annoying woman” anecdote that people will use to justify why we should treat everybody equally. The trouble is that so many men are not mature enough to be here.
Another point is that they are too impatient to deal with the details of building and creating. Heck, we women can barely get it sometimes, what more them? Lack of creative output leads to them going around shooting guns or hitting on the rest of us.
The fact is that this world is a social world, and so more complex than men can understand.
I mean seriously... must MEN ALWAYS intervene? They have their own places they can go to, places where shooting guns is the whole point.
NO MEN IN SECOND LIFE!!!
Lindens, I demand a response to this post immediately! Give me a gun and a beer bottle? A gun and a beer bottle? Really? I don't drink beer and I have no use for a gun. I was going to reply to this and object, but it's SO wrong, there's nothing I could say that isn't immediately obvious to everyone anyway.

From: Dan Rhodes LOL I agree. Who would be left to play? SL would be 3 sims with 18 females. Actually..it would be 16 sims with 4,000 guys PRETENDING to be females. (But I get your point)...

I'm not sure if this thread was started in jest or not, but it's moved into Off-Topic Land, so thus it shall live.

From: Hiro Pendragon From: Roseann Flora I like men. I have some really good friends here in SL that are men; in fact most of my good friends in sl and rl are men. Not all men are jerks, really. The thread was a joke. Not exactly. Not all children are jerks, either. But it has been pretty amusing.
