I started out at about 16k after 10 months of SL. I've been cleaning it out throughout the day i'm down to 10.5k. After the patch, I will finish it up I'm curious to see how low I can get it.

about half of what I had. the other half vanished in an asset server fit. and of those left, about half are 'invalid' entries in the database or borked in other ways (like they crash me when I change perms on them). so prolly not as many as it looks, really

I have about 10,000 objects in inventory. Does anyone know the amount that's acceptable to have, that 'won't cause lag?
Furthermore, I was thinking that maybe if a few people who own their own Sims wish to rent out space they're not currently using, they might want to charge a fee to let people have yard sales who have overly large inventories full of stuff they don't want to throw away. If the sim owner doesn't wish to charge a fee, at least they will make a profit from the dwell it brings. I remember Bakuzelas Khan held an event like this once. I personally have wanted to empty out my old furniture for a long time but just don't have the prim space available on my own land to do it. Just a suggestion. _____________________

Wow, how did I get 25,000 darn objects in my inventory? I didn't realize this... Does this mean I have to rezz the 5000 that are "object" and open the 2000 that are "snapshots" and the 3000 that are "notecards" OMG
No wonder it gets heavy my landing each day.... I thought I was getting somewhere in getting organize... There is no way some of you have 5000 items... I have been here a year.. still have my newbie folders with me, I am too attach to my things... oh well, I better sit down and do that... another job for me! *yikes*  _____________________

I have about 5000 but I am fairly vigilant about keeping my inventory manageable.

i like to keep things organized cause i get lost too easy LOL so been deleting- when can get in SL- anything i dont want,like,use, or need. delete copies too LOL Also do same as coco on organizing into folders and sub folders |

Yesterday....
32k Today... 27k I deleted more stuff than most people have, and I plan to delete another 15k items and catalogue textures on note cards, should get me down to around 5k.... I blame the "make outfit" button for the majority of it =P I did a search for "INVIT" and got rid of some 300 odd party invites too, that was pretty shocking since I think I was only able to attend maybe a tenth of them... _____________________
