I think that only works if your inventory is still streaming. When I search, I instantaneously get results without any numbers displaying. I've seen what you're talking about before, but I've been in world for a while and it doesn't seem to work now.

Not an exact number, but it's at least 18,000. When I can log in, I will be going delete happy. I mean really 400 snaphots of Darko and David with sheep
 we're sinking...SOS..MAYDAY.........  And Lecktor..I can't tell you of those...vile_____________________

I deleted SOOOOOO much stuff, and removed 2000 pictures I had of me with Vade since I dont need or want those any longer (what a waste of linden that was,) and I still have more than 15000 items in inventory! I am cleaning it out when i can get into SL

In the preview grid, it shows that I have just under 6,000 items. I think that's not too bad considering I have been in SL almost two years. I'm sure I can find a bunch of things I don't use/need anymore, though.
