I really havent been paying attention besides all the garbage on the news. I did see the debates and they all are scum but the Green Party dude seemed alright out of all of them. I didn't vote today but if I did, I'd vote for the stripper. We Californians need lap dancing back.

Well I guess it's official. I should have put some money down. I heard in Vegas, it was 8 to 1 odds Arnold would win.

Things arent as bad here as the Republicans claim. Lest we forget we're in a Republican driven national recession. The recall was pure politics. Davis did nothing to warrant the recall. Granted I don't think he's the greatest but I have serious doubts that anyone else would do much better considering the national climate.

So Darwin in the land of Tolerance, multiculteralism, liberalism, respect for other cultures (I.E. Cali), its ok for you to make fun of the way a man talks? and border on racism

By the Way, Arnold is a joke and I don't want him either, (live in maine so it doesn't matter), I am highly disappointed in the GOP for supporting him. At some point we need to learn its not about winning elections but standing for our principles. McLintock was the right man for the job, Arnold is just a democrat in GOP clothing, I mean come on he's married to the kennedy's!


Anyways, the reason Arnold is not right for the job is not that he's an actor (remember Reagan was a Cali Gov. and though I don't know much about his governorship, Cali didn't fall apart.) The reason he's bad is he hasn't ruled out tax increases yet, he's a social liberal so he's likely won't cut any programs either, so he's gonna try to fix the deficit without cutting anything but gonna raise the taxes... Well thats my bet at least.... Good Luck in Cali, I hope you all don't get Terminated!

I can't believe you just said that, Do-overs (as you put it) are exactly what a democracy is about, (I agree they can be bad if used too much) But the PEOPLE, vote for their leaders, and the PEOPLE should be able to remove their leaders from office.

Having someone completely secure in their office no matter what crime they committ is extremely undemocratic.

That being said, I was agaisnt this recall, but probably not for the same reasons as all of you.

Let me give you all a little economics lesson, A reccesion starts once you have 2 periods (3 months each period) of negative GDP growth. The first period was the 4th quarter of 2000 (yes during Clintons final days) and the second was 1st Quarter 2001, that was the beginning of our official recession, now I don't remember when it ended by I can tell you that in Sept. the GDP grew at 3.3% and in Oct. they forcast it will grow 6%. So WE ARE NOT IN A RECESSION. Also I know everyone loves talking about Jobs, well kids, as a junior economist, let me tell you jobs are always always always the last thing to recover and guess what? jobs went up last month, we are officially out of the recession and things are climbing again, for example the Dow Jones has recovered more than half what it lost when it crashed.


Now looking at Cali, I believe it has a 10 Billion dollar deficit each year? No Cali's fine, man we should just let it sit there... I don't think Arnold can fix it, but I'm positive McClintock could have. I think Davis should have been left to fry in his disaster, and yes it is largely (nothing is ever 100% someones fault) his fault, he totally mishandles the energy fiasco and made some sketchy deals which cost the state tons of money. That was his baby, but oh well its over and done, good luck with Arnold though... yikes...

EDIT: Misnomer even if we were in a recession, how the hell would it be republican driven if it started during Clintons term? Some people listen to the talking heads far too much.

Sigh... I wish we would get some actors running for Primeminister in the UK... they may be potentially worse at running things, but at least we could have a laugh at them.
