Who's Having SL Fun?

Is anyone having fun in SL anymore?

If so tell me what you're doing, where you're doing it and with who all?

Formed a new group and conned a few guild mates from other games to join and donate their 512 to the group. Bought some cheap snow land and am currently building an office building/factory.

It is still tough dealing with neighbors. I have one that has several of their prims on my land, but not enough for me to delete. On another side are the dreaded ban lines, which makes building on that side a little inconvenient. But it's the nature of the beast and not getting me down.

I had an idea for this place a few weeks ago and had that "Only in SL" moment where I just said "Why not?" and started. It's not a masterpiece, but I am having fun again in SL!

I've been having alot of fun playing out the other games designed by SL residents. too bad it seems like noone is ever at any of them. I also enjoy hanging out with the oldbies and newbies at the elbow, and Ive been taking in all the wonderful stuff at the black library.

I have fun. I just don't get to log in as often anymore.

I'm thinking of more playful ways to survive in SL off of a lessened stipend bonus. Having great phun flyin' around in Psyra's Melonjay av... I have become TORLAVIAN! Muhahaha.

Also always making many stops to places around the gridverse, guided by rippleshock, whatever I see.

Lookin' at peeps's Snapzilla albums too. And suchandsuch.

I have fun by pulling out all my pets: St. Bernard puppy, Moogle, Scottish puppy, flying monkey, hamster, etc., and run, jump, fly around the sim as they all try to catch up with me. Feck the lag.

Naked building. That's always fun.

Making skins with a tintable nostril. I walk around with blue boogies.

Laughing with Talen. Yelling at friends in IM, not angrily or anything, just typing REAL LOUD. Cuz it annoys them and I love that no one can TP over and shoot me

Get yourself a large piece of land on a private sim, do whatever you want on it without fearing your neigbours and ignore the so-called "economy".

I have not been in world as much as I have been lately because RL has gotten a bit busier, but after over two years, Im still having fun. Im not normal though. My fun comes from Live Help and being able to help others out. I get a great reward out of helping someone over an obstacle. "OMG, Thank You!!" puts a huge smile on my face and makes it all worth it. I love being able to show new people tricks and shortcuts that help them out. I love meeting new people that are still excited about being in SL.

I have a bit of a creative block with building at my land right now. Since late April, I have had an art gallery, two different castles, a movie house with a bar, and now sort of a state park camping area thing going on. I enjoy building something til Im tired of it and then thinking of something else to do. Its fun for me to do that, even if I am not sure of what I am doing.

I have always hated the idea of being finished. Once I am done with a project, I will keep it a couple of weeks or a month and then just tear it down and start over with something else. I think it keeps me in my loop with how everything changes here. Its hard for me to explain really. The only thing that I have that stays (basically) the same and finished is my Upside Down Room attraction. I keep that because it is for others to enjoy. I get a kick out of being around when people see it for the first time, its fun walking on the ceiling for people

I still have fun exploring and finding something cool built by someone I never heard of before. Its fun to hop the private estates and see what people do with a whole region. Its fun dropping in on some random green dot and seeing what makes them tick.

After all this time, SL is still a lot of fun for me.

Burning Life was an absolute delight!

Now that I've distanced myself from the emotional vampires, I'm having fun again. I don't spend as much time here as I once did, but that's ok, because the increase in quality is making up for the decrease in quantity.

A little more conversation than that would help

I'm having a pretty good time I've mostly been working on an offline SL map application, which is not only interesting to make but fun to play with. I've made time here and there to work on some build tools in-world. But it's easy for hermit nerds to have fun in SL. I do think it helps if you view the forums as kind of like an internet version of Real World.

No one eats Bob Dole's peanut butter.
