i do not tolerate favoritism among system administrators in a community sush as this, woudl you?

i believe this is going on, let me just take this example and tell me what you think
i get reported ONCE, yes one single abuse report about something that does not affect the person by (i will leave unamed for the time being) and the very next day action is taken suspension for a week

any other person other than this guy reports me about me say for example me shooting him to hell and back i get a warning a week later

tell me, wud you get suspicous at all over this? this has happened twice this one single guy reports me and bam next day i'm out for a week

any thoughts or comments pls

My thoughts are, it sure sounds like you attract trouble and maybe you should stop shooting people. You should be banned from SecondLife.

How many warnings did you get before?

What did you do this time?

Sounds like you've been warned before and they decided it was time to suspend you because the warnings obviously weren't working.

ok someone didn't read what i said did they Beau? thsi guy has done it twice now reported me and action si taken next day this most recent one I DID NOTHING TO HIM regarded the other statment beau i was stating i CUD shoot someone and i was not get dismissed so easily

Let me just make a quick note before this old, old tune gets played once again. The Lindens have a very good privacy rule where they will not reveal or post the details of any abuse report. This policy protects the attacker from unfair retaliation from the general public and is a arguably an undeserved gift to what appear to be RATHER ungrateful individuals.

So when someone says:
"The Lindens totally suck, they play favorties and their justice is totally arbitrary cause I got suspended for a week just because I called someone a poopie head but they only gave this other dude a warning for going to Linden Labs and punching Philip in the spleen."

The Lindens just suck it up, bite their lip, and rise above the temptation to reveal:
"The subject called the complainant a <explitive removed> <racial slur removed> who should go <vulgar sexual act> their <beloved family memeber> up the <body part> until they <violent act> and <sexual act only found in underground german videos> or I am going to <real life threat of violence> and <forced sexual act>. The subject then orbited the complainant, the investigating Linden, and a neighbor's cat in RL before spamming the PG sim with naked photos of <TV's Urkel>"

Yes, the Lindens are human. Yes, listening to people rant on about Linden injustice while downplaying their own crimes is a bummer to them. But when you read the ubiquitous "Lindens are unfair" posts, remember to take them with a grain of salt and thank a Linden for suffering through this crap when it's their own noble restraint that allows it to happen.

Linden can, has and will contract whoever they want.
They tend to prefer SL players... they hire them for liaisons, QA, even core development.
What's so special about contracting out some content development to people who are known for their proficiency and talent?
Our last website was designed by the avalon crew... and it was much cooler

I don't think so.. obviously the Lindens know some residents better than others, but if a 'friend' of theirs is breaking TOS they can no more get away with it than anyone else can.. and likewise, it's not as if they'll punish an 'enemy' any differently than they would otherwise.

** and Re: your other thread... I was not aware that LL was obligated to check in with us before hiring contractors or otherwise... and they have put the "we're hiring" in the MOTD so I dunno what you're getting at there.
