Anyone not get into AV sex?

I'm trying to find a group of people that are not all about screwin each other. Almost everyone I meet just likes to have sex in sl.....

Please no flames, I'm just looking to meet up with some people that have the same goals/views on sl as me.

i never really got into AV sex. maybe because most of the time, my AV is a zebra. but besides that minor detail, av sex kinda looks like badly animated cartoons goin at it.
its scary, but i understand the draw for some. if you're going to emerse yourself into another world and take on the role of the character, you might as well go for all aspects of a secondlife.

Anyone from beta will tell you, SL was never really like this, I don't know what the hell happened.....

I really think a group of teens joined, not knowing what sex was really all about, so decided to try it here, well it stuck...and now we even have events about "whos the best couple having av sex" somewhere around them lines, you know?

I'm not into SL sex, Zoey.

I'm an older, married woman in RL. Just got married 4 years ago to a wonderful man. So why settle for simulated sex when the real stuff is right there.

We live in a small town, My friends and anything to do are an hour's drive from my house. I'm here to make friends and do the things I can't do in RL.

i'm not a sexer or a partier. my av is purely fanciful, not built to be attractive or sexy. it seems to have turned out to be rather androgynous; people are always asking if it's male or female. to my mind, it really doesn't matter. call it what you will. i call it a sprite. who wants to have sex with a lime green sprite? okay don't answer that.

the underlying fact is that i'm not particularly interested in av animations or music or sounds inworld. i'm not that immersive.

What I really wanna know about cybor sex is....how the hell do ya type with just one hand??

I'm not opposed to other people doing whatevery they enjoy, but av sex is just a lot of work for the same (slight) amount of titilation as reading japanese manga.

it's not my thing, but I'm glad it's here - what ever makes people happy is welcome in my book.

I'm replying though because I find it odd the statements I've heard from some people lately to the effect of "Is there any where I can go where there isn't porn in SL".

What circles do you guys hang in that this is a problem? I've known about av sex and such from a distance, but never had it forced in my face. I always figured if I wanted something in my face, I'd have to go look for that

It really is just a matter of perspective, but from my perspective, porn and such in SL is a small percentage of what goes on in world. Maybe it gets more attention than it should.

yes, i've got nothing agianst it. i think its quite inventive and creative.someone obviously put alot of thought and effort into the av sex animations and now there are people creating many sexually oriented events to draw like minded AVs together. i see that as a good thing. i tell ya though. it still feels strange when you turn down sex~ even if its ingame. lol.

Perhaps you've never seen truly talented AV sex Zoey? I've had the pleasure of witnessing some lovely folks lately that really brought erotic and sensual movements across with their AVs. And I can only see it getting more "life-like" when custom animations make an appearance.

Any cyber type sexual activities, AVs or text or whatever, can be painfully boring, of fascinating, or interesting, or amusing, or highly erotic. It depends upon the people involved, the situation, and above all, the imagination.

Some folks are sexual, myself included, and that certainly doesn't mean I'm a teen or sexaholic. I enjoy the mental aspects of sex as well as the physical, and SL can certainly provide the mental part. Is it all I do or want in SL? Certainly not! In fact, it's a small, but pleasurable part of my SL experience.

Sexuality is instinctual to humans (as well as other animals) and is also a large part of most societies, so to expect it not to be present, and to somewhat influence, an online, adults only cyber world is not realistic.

Some folks like the sexual-cyber environment and some don't, and both are well represented in SL. I'm sure there are many folks in SL that have no interest in sexual activities in-world, and many that think it's ridiculous. I think that's great! The more divesity the better! But I don't tell them what to do in their bedroom ( or lack thereof), and respect their choices and opinions, as long as they don't try and tell me what to do in mine, or ridicule my choices or opinions.

Wow its actually refreshing to see there really ARE other people besides me that feel this way. For a while I thought I was alone. About 90%+ of events are sex these days.

I stopped calling the game Second Life and started calling it Sex Life because that's all I ever saw around me any more. It got so bad to a point I had complete strangers greeting me and saying stuff like "wow I like this game. I just got $500 for giving a guy head".

As with everyone else I don't mind what folks do but you know, there's more to life than sitting at your computer masturbating yourself. You people in Da Boom especially. : P

For some folks, that's all there is in SL, sex. I feel for those people because they choose to limit themselves so severly.

LOL I work to hard making clothes and stuff for the community to worry about that anymore. That went out when I threw Drama out the window about 7 months ago.

Not everyone is into the AV 'sex' thing Zoey...and for someone so against the idea, you have certainly brought it up on the boards enough. Live by the adage "To each his/her own". I am sorry to hear you are having such a hard time finding friends. I hope things start to look up in the future for you.

BTW, avoiding places where you are viewing av's having sex might be a good start.

oh for the record, I have nothing against AV sex, actually I have never really seen it, when I first got my genitals, I experimented a little with it.. but thats as far as that went. And I was never one into "cybering" not on SL or any other game... However, I think if I had a SL partner that made it interesting enough, I would give it a shot... lol

well....alot of the creativeness that has emerged from the need for our Avs to be closer will further our aninmation. It tickles me too.... we really put our Avs through some silly stuff but does the means justify the ends?? I think so....

Honestly, people, the national sport of this forum is for a few people to post about an issue and then leap from a couple anecdotes to the assumption that there's a worldwide epidemic or horribleness in SL.

90%+ events have to do with sex? I'll agree with you fully if you shave off 70%—80%. I don't know where you hang out or with whom but I travel all over this great world of our and I sure don't see sex and porn everywhere. Like someone else alluded to, stay out of Da Boom and there's most of your problem solved.

These forums do not represent the SL community. Our experiences are not per se representitive of the SL playerbase as a whole. And it's the nature of the forums that when a drama-tic issue pops up you'll get plenty of "me to" posts and no one posting that they've never seen this all-encompassing problem. Er, except for me.
