From: Talen Morgan Less events? Highly doubtfull. I guarantee that there will be the same amount or more events. People aren't having events now for the liden money given. People are having events to get people to come to their property and generate dwell period.
Everything does not revolve around money. If you are finding it difficult to survive in second life you have problems. IF it doesn't revolve around money, take out the exchange to US dollars.

From: Lady Greenstein TSO may not be a bad option after all That is very tempting, considering how upset I am with LL.... but I know within one hour of TSO, I will find myself in deep regret...

I honestly don't understand why everyone is so worked up about this whole thing. As far as I know, the only people this is REALLY hurting, is the land barons, because people won't be able to pay 10 $L per meter. But the whole thing about SL is that you really DON'T need money. The only people who need money are those who buy things, which no one really needs to do because you can create whatever those other people have created, and those who wish to own land, which is done through USD. I don't really know anyone who took the Lindens up on their using their linden bucks to pay their land fees, but they could be out there. SL is all about being creative, you have all of these tools, but it seems like less and less people are using them because of the whole focus on the money aspect.
Personally, i'm glad they are doing this, rather than spending all your time at a club, go to an building or scripting class, go to a sandbox and hone your skills, or greet newbies at the welcome area. You can still go to the clubs, but they may not be as big of a payout as before.

I'm staying. The changes don't really affect me. I don't buy much unless I save my Lindens. I'm in SL mostly to hang out with friends, import textures to play with, and create new things for myself.

I find it funny that all the people who used to say "I'm social so I DESERVE money for it!" now don't feel quite like being social anymore.

If all goes wrong i still luckily have my 72 level paladin on Final Fantasy XI to bring to 75... but i really hope someone decides to plug in the power cord of his brain again and aborts those simplicistic and damaging changes.

What game we moving to next? I'm game. Let me know where and I'm outta here. Just the fact that they announce these changes as being done is like a slap in the face, I don't remember voting on anything.

I just recently reactivated my TSO account and they've added some new neat things.. It's really not a bad option to choose while things here calm down. If we protest these new features by downgrading to TSO for a while, LL might give in!

All you SL Businesses, be prepared to drop your pricing. As for entertainers, be prepared to see alot less if any left; as it stands now they are underpaid and overworked. The depletion of Socialism has begone!

The fact is people don't have events to make money from the LL event sponsorship...they have events to generate dwell.

Those retailers who are wise will drop their pricing as the L$ rises. Which in effect will be cost-neutral to their bottom line. If the L$ rose 50%, reduce your prices by 50%. Then it'll be as if nothing changed. Leave the "Sky is falling" remarks to the clueless that can't grasp Econ 101 concepts.
