I guess the way I see it is, its our money LL is playing with, without our landfees, or introduction of new people to SL, its going to fall to shit, so...Im just looking for the highest cliff to stand on to watch, b/c land is altready starting so sell, prices are dropping, people are running scared, as most of us have seen this same thing previously, There.com anyone?

I'm making a hell of a lot of gold coins in World of Warcraft, stripping the dead and finding things in dangerous places to auction. I wish I could spend it on more than weapons, armor, spells, and ale, etc. It occurred to me how well I could do if I could offer my services as a builder, what I learned in Second Life, to the Horde. Something has -got- to be done to upgrade those silly leather forts and horned towns. Better traffic flow is needed, too. And real taverns, need real taverns for the social life, not just hanging around the auction house.

I came to SL in June, for the creative aspect. I never really liked the money & rating aspects, and have only given 17 ratings, most in my first week. I've only made 3 purchases (other than dollar freebie boxes) that I can think of... a cheap land expansion, a piano, and stupid hair that I bought because I was trying to help a newbie who thought she'd been ripped off by someone's hair vendor (It should've come with a notecard describing how to apply it - in my opinion.) So, I don't mind the economic changes. |

These changes remind me so much of THERE.com in May of 2004 it scares me. A considerable number of THERE residents not only lost ways of making a small income in game but lost faith in the company and moved over to SL. Lindens, please rethink the changes to the rating system and Event hosting/prize money. I would hate to see another game/world go down.

I'm fairly new to SL and I've seen that everything revolves around money! It's second life!!! Why do we have to bring the trials of REAL LIFE into this game??? It's already difficult for a lot of people to survive in RL, now they are making it difficult for most to survive in SECOND LIFE!!!

I guarantee that there will be the same amount or more events. People aren't having events now for the liden money given. People are having events to get people to come to their property and generate dwell period. Everything does not revolve around money. If you are finding it difficult to survive in second life you have problems. |
