Formal Response to a Formal Warning

LOL actually kris ISN'T part of sl00ts, its just me and my family it in, she just kinda started getting called it If you have ever visited sl00ts, she isn't there, its just family shit

I think I started it myself. My point being Kris and Willow did not get suspended. It is a warning and we all know that the Lindens will not elaborate. To this day I dont know why I was suspended. And I know you are not trying to suggest the sl00ts didnt see this one coming.

Oh yeah and let me point out again that when the community wanted the Lindens to mute Alby I was the first to defend his right to post! I have never suggested the sl00ts be silenced. I only complained on a personal level how totally fucking obnoxious it was to hijack other people’s threads. Period!

Actually to be honest, I don't think they did see it coming. Cause like you said they were only doing what you were doing to them in another thread. Only difference was they were joking between each other and the thread that they were called obnoxious fucktards was only moved to Off-Topic (and was not a joke). I just don't see where that is fair is all

It doesn’t matter if Kris is officially a sl00t. The complaint initially from me was directed at you and Kris. I don’t even remember using the term sl00t. I only started using it after you stated promoting the sl00t forum.

I have expressed my opinions about the hijacking of other people’s threads. I am pleased that both Kris and Willow received warnings. However, I never had a problem with either Kris or Willow prior to their short lived forum crime spree and would have no reason to have a problem with them now that they have stopped. Honestly, I think both Willow and Kris are very funny at times and god knows we need more humor in the forums. I hope they continue to post in their native moods and continue to bring the funny to the forums. I just hope they cut out the tired ass trolling shit!

I am aware of that and it must be the 2000th post someone saying how the forums should be. Let's face it, we have have been lurking the forums for a quite a while now and the moderation has always been inconsistent. I just don't believe LL has the time to baby sit every single thread that is created. People seem to want no censoring but then we also think racist posts shouldn't exist either. So what's LL to do with low moderation and a ton of posts a day? Well it seems now only respond to reports or catch threads they happen to read.

The bottom line is people will post whatever they can get away with. There have been sweeping forum rules changes before where nobody can even spurt out a cuss word. These days, it seems like every post goes like this:

'Fuckity fucking fuck shit motherfucking fucktard fuck'

If this were almost any other forum, most of the people here would get their ass banned. So there is no excuse for bitching when getting a little warning.

Considering how much slack LL has given you in so many trolling hijacks of posts, I can't believe you're surprised that you were warned. And as Darko pointed out, it's not even a suspension, it's just a warning. This thread is like giving the finger to a cop that just gave you a written warning after you've been caught speeding on the highway dozens of times.

As for your argument that your post in question that warranted the warnings was a joke, I saw no indication in that thread.

You know, this is one of the things I really dislike about these forums in particular - it's very obvious that it's often not even about the subject of the 'discussion' with a lot of people, it's about trying to pick apart a post or analyse the order of words to try and make something out of it that it isn't, or it's about conveniently ignoring half the original post and any followup posts by the original poster and making up your own indignant argument anyway.

It's always so very obvious that a lot of people who comment dont even bother to read the initial posts, let alone the threads - they see what its about, who it is from and decided they have to make a comment.

Nothing to argue about in the context of the thread? Well that's ok, make up some 'facts' and push those into the argument to counter instead. Then the thread gets derailed with people all tossing around someone elses distorted slant on the facts instead of what was actually said in the first place. Anyone else actually bothering to read the thread can easily see this and who's arguments dont make much sense in the full context.

Oh wait. Nono. It'd all be really constructive dialogue round here if it wasnt for those darn trolls, huh? Tsk.


Anyway. To answer you Hiro, as I have already said, if my warning was for trolling, hijacking or anything else I'm actually guilty of, then fine. I'd take it without a word of complaint. Do you honestly think I'm going to come to the forum and bitch about a formal warning for doing something I'm guilty of? It seems you're missing the whole POINT of my posting in the first place.

Instead I get a trumped up bullshit excuse for a one off offence of a joke thread in the offtopic forum and a false accusation of 'weeks of personal attacks' (which as I said before, I defy anyone to find evidence for this campaign of hate of mine?). I'm really NOT the one being a vicious asshole here. We have plenty of those already.

The 'offence' was that Willow and I created our own thread to play a game with each other and stuck to it, and it was over and done with before the mericans even got up. Very few people were involved, and at least two that were I PM'd immediately they interjected and let them in on it so that they wouldn't get themselves in trouble. But I digress; since this is not acceptable, I guess we go back to trolling and hijacking After all, I haven't received any warning about that...

Anyhoo, the intent behind posting my email was to open up the discussion that Catherine started that criticised the Lindens for the same thing, that the Lindens locked down. I think there have been some useful comments here - it's certainly been useful for me to find out I'm not alone in feeling this way about the way the Lindens conduct themselves - and hopefully the Lindens might take some notice for a change. Although I doubt it.

Expect more of the same.

You know the sad thing... I haven't even had a reply yet, I'm disappointed , and my freaking bug reports for the last 3 weeks have gone unanswered, gimme my damn profile back you gits!

My last 3 bug reports have gone unanswered too. And I really DON'T expect a reply from LL about the email, because they are almost always ignored in my experience.
