What do you do when SL is down?

well, i woke up and found myself crawling to my computer ( as always )
checked my e-mail, and a couple of other things.. then started SL, which kept failing to log me on..
anyway, according to the system status.. SL will be down for another 6 hours and now i'm what my other options are (:

SL should come with a warning label.. clearly stating that it's addictive!

This is my day off - not good with a downtime at all actually...

Hmmm, not gonna clean the house for sure - cleaner's were here 2 hours ago.

My haircut is scheduled for Dec 3rd.

Forum I read as always - nothing new in that.

Hmm, a nap maybe - its 4pm and i feel a bit tired :D

I post in the forums, other forums (including the one that I am a moderator at), play Halo PC, check e-mail, play Halo PC, watch a little TV, play Halo PC, play some GTA Double Pack or Crimson Skies on my X-Box, and uhm... play Halo PC :D

I think the collectors edition extended DVD of The Two Towers is out today. I'm going to go see if I can find a copy and watch it :) More than 20 minutes of new footage and over 200 new visual effects. Drool.

Oh, great, I'm home with an awful cold and SL is down - on the one day this week I could simply sit and play guilt-free!

I think instead I'll sit around and bitch about feeling lousy and produce snot.

It's my daughter's 3rd birthday today, and I'll be busy this morning anyway getting stuff ready to take to her preschool party around 11 am (Pacific Time). I wasn't going to be able to play much this morning anyway, so now I don't have to worry what I'd be missing in SL.

But I feel sorry for the rest of you...

(Pssst, Bhodi, try hot tea with lots of lemon and sugar... and then a finger or so of bourbon. :) )

When SL is down, I make SL screensavers. Get the first 4 at the Second Life Fan Club website, on the screensavers page and let me know what you think.

What do I do when SL is down?

First of all I panic cause I think my PC's messed up (as I haven't known SL to be down before)

Secondly I keep trying

Thirdly I find out that there's a page you can look at the status of SL

Fourthly I try figure out stupid PST against my GMT

Fifthly I get it wrong and arrive a whole hour early

Sixthly I make loads of textures I was meaning to make but didn't have the time.

Seventhly I mill around the forums and make this post, my first in the forums ;)

hmmm.

a strange thing happened. my husband and i went to breakfast together and browsed some pawn shops and antique stores. came home and....talked. then we went to find someone he needed to find.
the air was nice. the weather cool and cloudy. we held hands and talked of our son and our hopes for him, and how we can make these things happen. he had to leave for work reasons and i am checking these forums.

i'm still addicted to 2nd life. but this has been a most introspective and eye opening break for me.

Yeah, I am too addicted to SL now. Just reading the fact that it's been held back another two hours now has driven me even more crazy cause now i gotta spend time with my brothers and wait till tomorrow for my SL fix @_@

it's official.. i'm pissed off!
heh..
i just noticed the status page again, the "scheduled" downtime was extended another 2 hours till 2PM PST..
now i have absolutely nothing to do but wait a couple more hours..
i'll be travelling after tomorrow, and i'm done preparing, packing up, etc.
and to top it all off.. i've had my cable TV subscription suspended so i won't pay while away, and my car covered and parked.
so i can do absolutely nothing!
somebody kill me :(
