Oh good, at least my mile-high 'you are number one' sign can be put to good use.

Heh.

I'd like to add most times a strong-sounding post doesn't mean the person behind it is gripping his/her seat white-knuckled, foaming at the mouth.

It is easier to post a scathing reply than it is to be truly mad at someone, at least for me.

With all that said though, this fueltanker guy is a few prims short of a CSG.

lol more than a few, i know that choosing hitler was not the best of an idea, but they only reason i got worked up was because of people saying just a picture of hitler without the swastica or him doing sieg hiel was racist but we all see where that went. All being said and done i know a probably made alot of people mad and i dont blame you, im suprised i havent got 1 neg rating yet, if you do neg rate me for this just dont put a response because if you put something like, "hitler loving faggot, or nazi bitch" im just going to laugh at you. Sorry for anyone i offended that wasnt my intent. I dont think things through before i do them, i just act out.

Have a Good Day:)

Well put Kathy.

I work in a place which has people of many different national, ethnic, and social backgrounds. We have at least 5 ppl of homosexual orientation on our staff. We had one of our less tolerant staff members say several offensive things about homosexuals to other staff members. He eventually spouted off some garbage in front of a fellow that happens to be gay. The perpetrator was unaware of this fact. The person he said these things to was offended and took it to the management. The accused was given a stern talking to and presented with a written warning. He was also told next time he would be on the other end of the tolerance stick. But this was the least of his punishment. The staff simply started to ignore him , stopped inviting him to after work functions, etc. He started to seek employment elsewhere and eventually moved on.

What has this to do with the Hitler image?

What the guy did wasn't illegal. I doubt it even qualifies as Hate Speech. The things he said were along the lines of "There are too many gay ppl working here. Gross."
However, there were societal consequences. He was shunned by the majority of the staff. He probably wouldn't have been if he had come out with some sort of apology, or had somehow indicated he knew what he did was unacceptable.

We also had some excuse makers. Things were said like this, "Well he grew up out in the boondocks, give 'em a break"...(small town boy comes to big city, and big city is supposed to adapt to him? sigh..)

At any rate, I believe that it is becoming all too common in our society to accept excuses for poor social behavior. Just drive down the freeway and you'll see what I mean, "time" being cited most commonly as the excuse. Morals are not enforceable in a court of law, yet they still exist. And yes, I am aware that everyone has their own set of morals, but there are some basic morals that most free thinking societies possess.

EDIT:

BTW, it is illegal to display any Nazi symbols, insignias, or even the Sieg Heil salute in Germay...food for thought...

Oh brother.

Once again, a petty little whiner is making what happened to him as large as he can so that we're all blinded to the fact that it's nothing more than pouting.

Yes, Germans nowadays tend to avoid any mention of the war beyond their pensions and what they personally lost. They also tend to forget if not deny any culpability, so maybe having some reminders might not be a bad thing.

And it has been taken to some extremes. This may sound unbelievable, but a man from Berlin taught his dog to give a Nazi salute. The police have charged him for "displaying illegal political symbols".
Evidentally the police have had at least one prior run in with this guy before "Herr Kommandant Hund" perfected his salute. The man now faces a maximum of 3 years in jail if convicted.
