I love SL. I love RL. I love all the different opinions I read on these forums on a day to day basis. The passion that each individual feels is moving, at times a bit startling but all in all the strong feelings/opinions of people are amazing.

So, why is it that people feel the need to attack one another for their thoughts, feelings, beliefs in and out of game due to their political belief? It shocks and amazes me when one person voices an opinion simply to be flamed by another's perception of same said issue.

With the polling wrapping up for the evening and the votes being tallied, please remember that this is one nation united, despite each individual's personal take on "who should be holding office". When it comes down to it, we're all in the same boat and no, I have no fricken intention of singing Cumbaia. :p

We don't all "just have to get along", can't we all just be?

WRONG. As far as the US goes, this is TWO nations, divided 48%, 51%.

48%. 51%. TWO countries. TWO nations.

DIVIDED.

We are NOT in this "together".

The biggest joke I heard tonight was the TVNZ 10pm news doing a 2 minute piece on a guy who reckons he can forecast the weather by the moon's position. Oh, he has a book just out (coincidence I'm sure).

He forecasts heavy rain in February. Gosh.

We don't have a problem with folks who disagree with the majority in Heaven. We just throw them out. Had a bit of a spiff about 7000 years ago. Had to exile almost a third of the population. Some guy named Lucifer got peeps all stirred up.

Umm no comment as Political faniticism is merely an extention of unstable minds that cannot debate effectively without saying....""WAAAA I'm taking my toys and going home""

I think this is because people with differing political opinions in First Life have them because of differences in thinking that carry across to how/why they spend time/money in their Second Life.

And I'm not saying more than that at this point.

yeah we got a nice even divide in votes but i don't buy that it means we're two seperate unreconcilable nations or whatever. you can divide us up like that any way you want. stuffing or potatoes, you say pop and i say soda, coo-pon or cue-pon.

now that the results are looking pretty clear how about we remember we got alot more in common than we got dividing us. life goes on just like every election. i'll bet ya anything the "losers" don't get put against the wall and shot. they'll go to work and keep on living just like we're one country not two. :D

just be glad we're only a two party system. we could be TEN countries. TEN nations. hehe.

What are you talking about Lecktor. Don't Conservatives want all of the Liberals out of America or at least eliminated?

Wouldn't a separation of countries solve this without killing?

Right, So my original argument stands. Excellent.

So THEY can have their Cowboy-Country, and the terrorists can attack THEM.

We'd just have to figure out how to split the country, since the blue states don't fall in a single cluster, but two areas.

While the "Red States of America" could likely bomb the hell out of the blue, being costal, the Blue States of America could probably restrict trade, by being coastal.

Sounds great to me.

I now hate my country and more than half it's people...

What scares me the most is that if we couldn't beat this pathetic excuse for a leader, how are we going to win against anyone else in the future? The left is lost...

The opinions of the people on the coasts and in the cities are now the minority.

they're the minority opinion by like 2%. what a defeatest attitude. :)

uh....so is the left a meaningless ignored minority or are we a divided country split right down the middle 50/50? i don't think it can go both ways.

Michi, please stop calling for another civil war. i *hope* you're the kind of person who wouldn't post something that dumb if you weren't upset.
