Well Garth and I had a wonderful months visit. We went on a week long car trip up the coast to San Francisco and visited the Linden Labs. We meant to post our pictures and tell of our adventures before this, but time got away from us. Funny how that happens when you are having fun!
Garth arrived at LAX September 21st none the worse for wear! It was his first time on a plane and his first time out of Britan! The only hold up was I had neglected to give him my address, he only had phone numbers, and they wouldn't let him through immigration. An American Airlines representive found me in the waiting area, got my address and within minutes he appeared and we were on our way home!!
The first thing Garth did the next morning was go out in my backyard to check in my tree for that incessant stalker CrowCatcher Valen, he thought he had spotted him but it turned out to only be a tin hummingbird decoration I have planted there!!
We went out for lunch, and on our way back to the car we spotted that CrowCatcher eating crumbs in the parking lot!

Then off to the stylist!! We went to Christopher and Company on Coast Hiway in old Corona to have Randy cut Garth's hair and for me to get a touch up too! No Crow sightings, thank goodness.
Then we went to take a couple of shots of the beach, we saw some gulls wheeling about but NO CROW!! Phewww. I guess that old buzzard stayed back in the restaurant parking lot scarfing up bread crumbs and chasing girl crows.

High on the agenda was a visit to the holiest of the holys - Fry's!!!!! Garth couldn't resist taking a picture of this race-whatever in the parking lot. There was a group of girls there singing over and over 'We are Pan-a-sonic'. Veddy California.
Then on to the inner sanctum where we loaded the 'trolley' with 3 keyboards, a mouse, motherboard (or was it 2), memory sticks, a tower, monitor, power supplies, etc etc. I don't remember what else (I think I need the memory more than the computer).
Then we hied off to Best to get a new GeForce 6800 for my computer! Yaayyy, it is great. My old 5600 went into the PC Garth put together for a college kid in my family. Ahh I remember now, new motherboard went into my PC and my old one into making new computer for college kid.

There is a website Meetup.com that lets you organize a monthly meetup of like minded people. I am trying to get one for Second Life members near the Huntsville, Alabama area. If it ever gets going anyone from anywhere is invited to attend.

Sunday afternoon Oct 3rd, we packed up the car and headed up the 405 - destination San Francisco! We zipped north past the Orange County airport, then past LAX, then got off the 405 onto the 101 to drive through Ventura and then to Santa Barbara.
We got off the highway in Santa Barbara, I wanted to take Garth to a Cocos. He was on a hamburger tasting expedition and wanted to see if he could find a better burger than a FatBurger! To my chagrin there is no Cocos in Santa Barbara!!
So we got back on the highway and continued northward to Paso Robles where we had a reservation for the night.
I can't believe it, but we didn't take any pictures that Sunday!
But we did look around carefully and we seemed to have lost Crow Valen, super stalker!

Well to get on with the trip! I introduced Garth to the famous American breakfast at "Dennys". Bacon, eggs (sunny side up) hashbrowns, toast and lots of coffee.
Then we headed on up the 101, Garth took over the driving on the windy roads into Carmel. We parked near one of Carmels famous beaches to take some pics and right away spotted that bothersome Crow Valen in one of the trees!!! We also saw him do a quick morph into a gull and stroll on the beach bothering the painters!!

Back to the highway again! We popped in to see Cannery Row in Montery, we took some great pictures of the boats there.
We spotted Crow Valen there too in his gull suit. He had invited the gull family over to his place to listen to a reading of 'Snowcrash'. But Garth says the place looked more like a reading of "Gull Poop Crash" hehehe
We got some great pictures. We didn't hang around long because we wanted to get to Fremont that night.
