Even after yesterdays seemingly endless trek, my thrist for pointless trekking is not yet quenched. Today... Going Walkabout, Part Deux: Circumnavigating the World!



If anyone wants to join me in this completely insane venture, meet me on the south side of Abbotts at noon, SL time. We'll go clockwise and stop for a 5 minute break every 20 sims (as marked on the map).

Cubey - just a heads up - You're going to get stuck in Isabel where it connects to the Snow-sims. It looks like you should be able to pass thru on the map, but you can't.

Isabel is at the bottom of a penninsula - the only way out being heading back up north, or TPing, of course :(

If you do decide to loop around the penninsula, however - feel free to stop by my place for some gatorade - I'll make sure the bartender has it stocked ;)

Let me know if you ever want to do this in choppers. I'd like to see a group of about 20 helicopters fly around the world. That would be fun. And laggy! :-)

I did a walkabout around the world once...wayyyyyyyyyyyy wayyyyyyy back when the world was much much smaller and it took me three hours. Good gawd Cubey, I will join you in a few days when your up close to Olive and Indigo :p
Seriously...I wish you were doing this tomorrow so I could join you. Lemme know how long it takes. Good luck in your travels and it is a good way to see some very odd and strange things.

Anyone else find it funny that one of the most reknowned vehicle makers in SL is determined to walk everywhere?

Of course, I'll try to be there for as much of it as possible. :D

If my math is correct, this is a 57 kilometer trip. Isn't this going to take roughly 8 or 9 hours to complete by foot?

Soooooo.... tiiiiired

Why am I doing this again? Well we're making good progress. Four hours into this thing and we're in Bowness now. We had a couple of problems with reall obnoxious ejection scripts. No warning or anything -- they just blast you across the sim for setting foot on their land. I really don't see how that should be allowed.

Anyway, we're on a break. Resuming in about 3 minutes, so I'm going to grab a snack. :)
