You have completely confused me Blaze. First you post how you got duped by a female av who only wanted stuff and you stalked the av. Then you whined about how you couldn't understand why people would play an av different than their true sex. But now you've completely agreed with everyone's posts - and said that you understand people playing opposite genders and that you have too. So what was the whole point of this thread?

Lips are meeting the ass of several...

Blake you have contradicted yourself so much I am beginning to think you have a split personality... created an Alt to spy on some chic you just met? whoa! (makes sure I don't have your calling card)

Y'all "created" this guy over the last couple of days. Now he's yours and you're stuck with him.

Ya, you.

Oy vey. This thread's given me a headache. Blake, be a sweetie and buy me an aspirin. Have I ever told you that you look good in a harness? An awesome dancer too. BTW, grab me a glass of water and some bunny slippers while you're out. Or just give me the 500L and I'll get them myself. You're SO SWEET! *hugs* :p

This just goes to show that the "mature" sims in SL are in actuality, misnamed.

You're a real sweet guy, Blake. But you gotta understand at parties and clubs like that, it's a lot like in real life as it is in Second Life, basically they're out for your money. They'll say whatever they have too for you to give them stuff.

It's a business of sleeze, I just say avoid places like that and girls like that.

Oh, I know my arse is gonna be grilled and served in a platter for this, but what the heck.

It's sad how topics here are snipped, taken out of context, unfairly ridiculised, misquoted and downright misinterpreted by some people. I mean, I suppose it's O.K. to do that with some funny topic or those "3 word" threads... but when someone expresses his thoughts or feelings about something, why can't everyone make an effort to understand what he is saying and agree or disagree in a fair manner? Why must some people seemingly make an effort to attack the originator by posting blunt remarks about what he says while taking his words totally out of context or just downright misinterpreting things? And if you do so to joke around, why not make it clear you're joking, that way saving some of the otherwise resulting hot air for more needy discussions?
Not saying everyone must agree or feel ok with everything thats posted, but if you feel you must disagree, just try and make sure you're doing so in a responsible manner, and if something is unclear, it's always better to ask for clarification rather than to start crucifying people without any further notice..

Alas, Donovan, we are not "stuck" with him any more than we are stuck with any of the people who are free to post here. While he may be a bit more verbose than your average newbie, his heart is in the right place and he seems like a great guy.

Blake, as far as this whole thing goes, a little advice. Consider the money blown on some SL virtual hoochie as just one of those little life lessons. It's all just play money in the end anyway. Besides, in the same week you ended up with $1100L worth of stripper supplies from a stranger, so that should at least offset your loss a little. There will always be people looking to scam you. While you should certainly learn from it, just know that most people aren't like that - just show a bit more caution with your generosity (and maybe lay low on the post creation for a few days. You don't want to burn out your fifteen minutes already) :)

This thread is a bit silly and these are just some random thoughts about it so first who is this Blaze guy? I see Blake. I don't see Blaze in this thread.

why would a female want to play a male unless they are gay and play it for their female partner?

You think males are a turnon between lesbians?

Anyway, the most common reason I've heard for a female to play a male character is to avoid getting hit on. Me, I'm a male playing a female character. Mostly at this point because I haven't been able to come up with a male av that doesn't suck. Partly because all the good clothing is for women. And I don't get hit on often. Probably because my usual av couldn't be considered sexy :)

yes sometimes things get twisted and turned and you run into bumps in the road..and even roleplaying..emotions can sometimes get involved

If you are going to roleplay what is the point if there are no emotions involved? (Well that's how it seems to me)

That's for sure. It's a silly choice one has to make in SL. Build your home in PG land and get abuse reported for saying the word fuck, or have silly X content and clubs in your neighborhood. I don't really care about the X content but it isn't usually very creative.

Camille, I think you overreacted to this thread. The reason I say this is because you said you were "confused" and then proceed to attack Blake. If you're confused then the proper thing might be to inquire to his intent and meaning, not jump to the worst-case conclusion and attack him.

Blake, the answer is simple - you probably just took off the tuxedo ;^p

You might want to look at my original story and see why I created another alt..it had nothing to do with what happened to me..looks like I may need an alt to play this game with all the flaming going on..This has gotten way out of hand..those comming in on the late end of it must really enjoy this..I did not have intentions of becomming this famous..well..I don't know if it's fame or I am just becomming a controversial figure..the problem with fame is..some people are gonna like you for who you are..some are gonna flame you for who they aren't. Seems everytime I try to rebutt these twisted and spun quotes the shit gets deeper lol. I think I'll quit posting..JUST FORGET ABOUT IT ALREADY! And thanks to those that defended my original intention and trying to convey what I really mean't..and I did not lose any money as some are now saying..I never bought anything. I came here to begin with just to post the services I offer for parties. Seems the posts become a Soap Opra as is my SecondLife already. I think I should have persued a normal SecondLife..or is there one? It was nice knowing you guys. Thanks to all that know my true heart.

Cris, you misunderstand. I'm sure he's a wonderful guy. My post was about other people -- certain people in SL who encouraged certain aspects of his personality to emerge for reasons that were perhaps humorous -- but also perhaps a little irresponsible. And it was rather clear to certain other people that this might happen to him -- because this person wears a lot of himself in the open, so to speak.

So the net results are -- he got taken advantage of without realizing it -- by people who were not malicious but might have known better, he probably misunderstood what was happening, his behavior has been reinforced, and -- suddenly I don't see a whole lot of those people who were "just joshin' with him" posting on his threads anymore.

Not earth-shattering. Not horrible. Just a little revealing. And sad.

Interesting view Donovan. I will say this. The happenings he is speaking of are apart and separate from the event he attended with "us". I love that, let elitism reign eh? Blake is an awesome dude and very outgoing for a newbie. You and "yours" can flame "us" all you want. I stand behind Blake and just hopes he doesn't get hurt by any unsavory characters in SL. He had a fun night as well as the rest of us who were there. That evening has nothing to do with this post. Thanks for reading.

Flame? No.

"Elitism"? Don't know what you mean.

An event? Wasn't there, wouldn't speak about that, and wouldn't presume to judge. :)

No, my point is -- be careful. Be kind. This one was pretty obvious.

Well I made an alt and saw her that evening and she was hitting on another guy and saying "I love men" obviously she/or he was on the hunt again after ditching me so quickly...

You made an alt to stalk a girl that you only met once and didn't get along with at all?

Communication on the Net is sometimes a great challenge for me to "read between the lines" and because I have a great difficulty with common sense and body language in the first place. But I enjoy the multimedia experience, and learning... I have to constantly remind myself that just because someone is wildly dancing and their av looks like he/she is having a great time, that one may be AFK or slumped over their keyboard IRL, semi-conscious or whatever

Relating to this thread, certain healthy skepticism is encouraged and not to push forward too fast. Things are easier to see in hindsight, but for an evaluation of that to be made, one must spend a lot of time getting to know another -- and hopefully it will be mutual so that one does not feel dumped-on and hurt by the other. However, in life, pain and suffering are constant presences, so it happens. And it's hard, but live and learn.

People have all sorts of reasons for being on here. When it comes down to it, I treat each individual as... an individual. Some ladies play as ladies. Some play as men. Some play as furries, or androids, or as non-descript objects of empuzzlement.
