Female AV's out to take my money!

I met a female..at least I thought she was..and was very nice at first..being kind..giving me compliments and such.telling me how good looking I am..dancing with me..and very pretty..saying she loves a man in a Tuxedo etc. etc. I told her that I would buy her something nice once I made some money..I was going to take her out dancing when I got the message to attend my first party and had told her what I do for business earlier..she said she understood I had to leave..I told her.."I can't leave you like that" she said.."It's alright..do what you need to we can go out later." She told me she would IM me later.

Well the party lasted until late and she had then logged off..well the next day she IM'd me and said.."Don't forget your promise." I asked..what was that? she said "About buying me something nice." Then of course Red Flags went up..hehe..my response was hesitated of course wondering if that's the only reason she was comming on to me the other day.. testing her and joking about getting naked and eating grapes..lol..she responded.."I have to be really deeply in Love with someone before that comes. She then told me "I don't think this is going to work out." I asked "Why do you say that?" She responded "I didn't appreciate that you left me like that to go on a date." I said.."A date?" "I told you it was just a party for someone that was male and it was his party for the group he was in and you told me it was alright to go and you understood." She said "Just forget about me..this isn't going to work out."

She had made me think she was so interested in me and loved a man in a tuxedo and such earlier now she's changing her opinion all of a sudden so soon? Things like this tend to make me think that most are only out to get your money. Well I made an alt and saw her that evening and she was hitting on another guy and saying "I love men" obviously she/or he was on the hunt again after ditching me so quickly..things like this tend to make me think she was only out to get my money and could care less about my emotions. Well im used to it and know pretty quickly if someone is interested in me for me and when I tell them there was no sex involved and there is no trust..and the statement about the promise..i've heard it all before in other games..and have experience in this area. I came to this game to meet someone and have fun as well as have a business..(Dancing) as I do not have money to buy property and stores and do not know another way to aquire money at the moment..stores and property take investment..but that's beside the point..I believe my intuitions are fairly accurate unfortunately. Maybe I need to go back to slaying monsters lol. Ok..this is a different subject..I had to post my feelings on this issue.

Ok... what happened to you was a tad harsh, but you get it all the time in SL.

People are so fickle, one day they are totally in love with you, the next day they are hiding themselves in shodilly made boxe's hugging another woman, claiming to be 'testing' the hug anim *sigh*..

Why on earth people cannot be straight forward is beyond me, but blake, u just have to rise above it and come party with us nice girls

Blake, here's a little unsolicited advice from your Auntie Carolyn.

Some people online are just... well, freakin' weird. They seem to change their behavior from moment to moment, have hefty mood swings, often pose things that don't even make sense. Over the years, I've run into quite a few.

I don't know where they come from. They could have a mental illness or learning disability. They could just be trying to manipulate people with an "act" to get what they want. They could be several people all using the same account. Or they could just tend to play online while they're busy doing something else, and never pay enough attention to make any sense.

So this person could have been out for your money... or maybe had some issues going on you don't know about... or maybe was an elaborate AI script written as an experiment.

I wouldn't let it bother you.

I *also* wouldn't get your hopes up about someone from just one night of dancing and flirting. Otherwise, you're going to get hurt a lot online.

I understand your point..but it's people like this that cause mis-trust and disrepect towards females..not saying that all females are like that..but it's hard to know who you can trust.

Here's a tip.. trust no-one.. NOT until you really get to know them, i have been stung MANY a time, by lending money, spending valuable time talking and listening to peoples problems, only to get them thrown back in my face, etc etc...

Its quite sad that some people feel the need to do this kind of crap, and i will NEVER understand why, just don't let one bad experience screw it up for you, i let my bad expereience screw my SL up for a fairly long time, but now i have the most wonderful friends, and a great partner, its just a case of trial and error

How do we know you're male Blake? Aside from how your AV looks, people can be anything.

In RL, do you automatically tell a woman you'll buy her something nice if she compliments your clothes? Were you in a club? Kind of like a RL bar - some people are just looking for someone to buy them drinks, in SL it's clothes or objects.

Did you actually talk with her about anything of substance?

You made an alt so you could track her? That sends up red flags in my book. Why not just let it go and take it as a learning experience? I'm not saying her (if it was a her) behavior was perfect but you barely knew the av. If you're looking for love at first sight I could certainly make a pretty av - so can many other people out there.

You can say 'no' if someone asks you to buy them something.

No I wasn't in a Club..and yes I am a Male..not that you have to believe that. We had a great conversation..I didn't necessarily make an alt to track her..I didn't even know where she was or how to locate her..I just happened to see her at a Club..I just made an alt in case I wanted to use that one for another business later..seeing her was coincidental...I am not a Stalker LOL! And she didn't ask me to buy her something..I offered out of generosity because she told me she was new as well..that she had played months ago and just came back. And I know it can be hard to make money starting out. And no I am not looking for love at first site, she did tell me "Lets just be friends before she said.."Just forget about me." From what I gather from SL..it has a tremendous amount of Adult content and was to be part of the game for meeting people and dating and such..not just going to clubs and picking up Escorts. If you want to play a game that doesn't have a dating structure maybe Starwars Galaxies or something that has an economical structure like that. Though people still date even in those games. This is a SecondLife and that's what it's mean't to be..and not saying that I don't have a real life girl either..this game is designed for your fantasies as well as the other attributes.

I have never heard a more ignorant thing uttered by anyone about sexuality. Blake, I'd advise you to either learn something about the diversity of sexuality in RL and SL both, or stop talking about it entirely, because pretty much everything that comes out of your mouth has offended me in the extreme.

Or..a male may play a female to have relationships with gay women..that is another possiblity or some may just like to play females.

Im not sure why you are offended..I have nothing agaisn't being gay...and wasn't mean't to be offensive..I just stating possibilities why some like to play females..i've even played female characters..it's all in fun and what you like. Been wondering lately from all you posts Blake, are you old enough to play SL?
I mean really, if you've been playing any computer games out there, especially the older ones, there are no female characters to play or if there are they have giant breasts and exagerated figures. Even the new games get outragious in how the characters look and behave. And seeing how female AV's get hit on in game in SL, it is tempting to make a male AV so that you don't have to deal with it.
