I spied this visitor through the kitchen window. He was looking for Crow, but that pesky bird hasn't been around in a couple of days.

Pituca, it looks like Fleabite is stalking you now!

We popped over to Stratford again yesterday, I took this picture of a sign at the intersection "Cyclists Dismount", I wonder what the sign would read in California? Probably "Walk Your Bike".

I then snapped a picture of the Pub where we had lunch twice last week. We didn't have time to stop yesterday. It is called "Goose on the Broadway". Interesting name!

We want to thank you all for the great comments here, We are glad you are enjoying the thread. We hope to get to a couple of museums on Thursday, but I twisted my knee yesterday. I am going to stay off it today and tomorrow so hopefully we can make the trek to see the Museum of London.

I also want to see the Science Museum and the Victoria and Albert Museum while I am here. Any suggestions from you all? I am not much on art, and don't care to go to the theatre.

Garth and Pituca in California

Above link is to the forum posts from when I visited California. There are snaps of us there somewhere, maybe even CrowCatcher and Neo Rebus, His Grace (Stoneself) and maybe even Mickey Roark too.

We went to the Museum of London the other day, some very interesting exhibits. Strangely enough they had a section of life as it was in Second Life! We didn't get as many pictures as we wanted as it was dark and we didn't use the flash.

But here are a few starting off with a picture of Garth and me finding Taber back in pre-history. Then there was an amazing model of early Londinium, I think that sim must not have made it when SL went live back in June of 2003. Maybe it will be rediscovered some day as was Nova Albion.

Thirdly the model of the Governor Linden's Palace, that didn't make the transition well, only pieces of it remain in Clementina.

We were amazed when we found the a replica of the kitchen Garth made for me in the old days though, but now that AVs don't need to eat (I thank the Lindens for descripting that part of the original SL) I no longer have one.

We then found the exhibits of early vehicles of Second Life.

First off is a miniature of Athos Murphy's Omnibus, that was never successful due to the inability to import horses into SL. And he could never get a group of Avatars together to pull it.

There is a model of his first steam driven GSLR engine though.

And amazingly enough a FairChang prototype is there on display also!

We then worked our way over to Victorian Londinium and saw what were the beginnings of several successful Second Life businesses.

First picture is of Mash Mandala's early showroom, and he is still making fabulous furniture!

Secondly is Merwan Markers first business of Coffee and Tea Warehouse, he only imported the very finest and never allowed his coffee grounds to be reused!

Thirdly we saw Thai Greenacre's Tailor Shoppe, still famous in SL for fine men's garb.

Then Fey Brightwillow's Showroom of Female Finery. She still has the reputation of being SL's premiere dressmaker.

And last but not least was Spellbounds storeroom, Baccara is a very well organized person, never throws out a thing.

Two last pictures, the model of a bridge that Garth has always wanted to build.

Lastly twilight in Taber. One of Jai Nomad's houses next to the old Rose Theatre. The Rose was built by an long forgotten SLer and it disappeared before Beta.

Thanks Olympia, I am glad you are enjoying them.

Here are three pictures I took when we left the Museum of London.

Firstly the picture of the museum itself, a pic of the Lord Raglan Pub and lastly a view of St. Paul's Dome.

We haven't been doing any new touring so no new adventures! Garth came down with the flu, then I did. We hope to get out to the Science Museum next week as I only have 10 days left in London. Then I wing my way back to So Calif.

However I did post the London pictures in my Second Life Webshots Album for those of you who would like to see them all together. Feel free to look at my SL albums too, altho they are pretty helter skelter! hehehe.

Complete with one corner of that great Central London building that's inexplicably been empty since I can remember.
