Again for the 4th time, I thought I had put in Building/Creatvity/Artistry but I missed it in the #3 Option, I even had it written down on a piece of paper to put it in the Survey.

Some have the perception that building/creating isn't my top priority; you're right or obviously I wouldn't have missed it. I do not play this game to build and sell items. Im not going out and buying 1k U.S.$ in software to be able to make things, im not going out and spending $300 U.S. for PHotoshop or whatever to build things. Im not going to sit and study and learn or take a class in Photoshop or learn LsL to script or make items. Some have experience in this area, and this game appeals to them in this way.
If I wanted to learn Photoshop and other programs/languages, I would go to College and do it for a real life living. Me personally I am only here for the social interaction. If I want to build something; i'll hop over to EQ2 on my Artisian, though I understand the items are prefab and is in no way as creative as using Photoshop or other software. Im not in this game to support myself.

If I had Photoshop, I may like it; I don't know. I understand those who do though; I love Art myself. But when I get home from work; I don't want to be staring at a Photoshop screen. If I had it at work to learn on, that would be a different story.

I didn't mean to discount all you builders and creators out there. Use option #3. I don't mean to intentially put it in the background as unimportant either; that was my hindsight and thought I had put it in there. I appreciate creators very much or this game wouldn't be what it is. I may even one day do it myself, but; at this time I am enjoying socializing just like I do here on the forums. Im sure a few of you had previous experience in Web design or Computer Programming before implementing your talents in this game, some may have taken an interest after learning about this game, I actually took Computer Programming in College, but; I hated Cobol, I did not have the patience to debug 70 out of 400 statements, though Basic and RPG was fairly easy, it's like being a Doctor, you have to Practice, I am very artistic though and if I did anything it would be something to do with Photoshop and would probably make mens clothing, to each his own.

If I could have redone the Survey, I would have put Building/Creation/Artistry in there as these people are very important to Secondlife. So in appreciation, please use Option #3 you should not be discounted. Vindi Vindaloo is a designer and I appreciate her dearly. Love you babydoll. :)

Blake, I have an Idea for you since you like to do polls so much...

#1 Make a thread requesting Questions for a poll..Ie If you were to make a poll what questions would you ask in reference this topic.

#2 Collect all those questions and formulate a balenced set of polling questions.

#3 Enact the poll.

This may give you a better demographic of what your attempting to achieve.

Just some friendly advice....

Shadow

That's a good point, and this Poll wasn't easy by no means, there are alot of variables and I knew I would leave something out by accident. Though I could formulate a Poll via your method possibly, im not sure how many would give a damn and contribute to a Thread called "Tell me what Poll questions you would like me to ask in regards to such and such."

Horny when you made this poll were you? :)

What about creating stuff, i.e. clothes, scripting etc. It's not about the money, the fun of creating stuff is a major draw into Second Life, especially as it's the only virtual world I know with an actual programming language :)

Anyway, the freedom to build things, that's what keeps me in Second Life.
