This took me awhile to think about, however; it may not be all that everyone is looking for in Secondlife. I tried to put in what came to mind within the limits of the 10 choice options. Names will not be visible in the Poll. Since alot of talk is going on about Events and such pertaining to Sex, I think this Survey may help us understand what interests the majority the most within what limits we have to work with currently. Im sure I may get other perspectives or suggestions. Any comments are welcomed regarding what personally interests you about Secondlife. Even comments about ideas of interests that have not been done yet would be interesting.

I have always been so fascinated by all the characters played and the personalities that just overflow with imagination. I love this game/chat/metaverse, what ever it is, I love it. It has it good and bad but in all as I always will believe, there is good in all of us and SL continues to prove it. SO we have some people that seem a bit grumpy and others that are bubbly with slootness but it all makes one big happy community. :)

I think maybe the most interesting thing in Second Life is you, Blake. ;)

Dammit..I had that written down also..didn't put it in missed it..just vote for one of the all of the above and make Building/Creativity part of it, that would pertain to the Etc. in choice #3.

I know we have more people in here that can survey now. Participate, I think this is important to know what interests people the most.

I'm not into the AV sex scene all that much. Being a Yahoo user I'm more used to descriptive paragraph-length encounters that leave women scrambling for a thesaurus.

Yes don't forget the building thing. Without that I woudn't be here. Sometimes I try to script...don't see a choice on that either. Eh, the socializing; seems like a by-product being how we're all crammed in the same cage together.

Option #3 pertains to it in Etc. Forgot to specifically list Building and Scripting/Creativity, so consider Option #3 for that.

Well, for me, I'd say it is the whole social thing - not just socializing, but the sociology of SL as a whole (which brings to mind some of my late father's comments about how uninteresting holes are). ;)

Coming from the world of text-based social interaction (you know the one - they have a media monstrosity attached to their butt), I notice that the influence of graphics on emotion and psychological investment is striking. In the back of my mind, I know those avatars don't normally mirror the player's RL physiognomy (except for certain exceptions who have pressed the technology of SL in service of that goal), but I can't help but identify with an avatar more strongly than with a string of characters....

Am I rambling? Oh, sorry.

Yes, Doctor, I'm ready for my medication... ;)

I like building things. It's cool to be able to create any weird object or environment I can dream up.
It's also fun finding new things and watching existing places evolve.

That's what I noticed too. Since it's not there, I choose not to answer. Guess we know what didn't bring Blake to SL.

i think SL is a fascinating social phenomena. virtual environments like this create a place to question social and cultural norms. maybe, from them we can learn something new about what it means to be human. what kind of social forms, what kind of world will we create? simply fascinating!
