I bought land so I could have prims and build semi-permanent structures (I burned them down as whim strikes me), and to have place to rest my head (yeah lots places come to mind but shhhhh!!!) when I'm cuddling with my partner. If I make $L great if I don't well great. I have quite a few ratings from attending events...I thought that was cool, I didn't even know it was related to stipend until recently  It just seems like so much "to do" about nothing and that's just my opinion. In the end it all depends on what you're here for. Are you here to get the most ratings asap? Are you here to own the most land? Are you here to be the richest? For me, being creative and making my Second Life everything my First Life should have been is my goal... It's just a bitter sweet sadness to see Second Life imitating First Life, when I would much rather it be the other way around.

Am going to sell my land in Takes if anybody's interested, maybe then I can pay for that tringo kit I borrowed money for.  Hell I cancelled all my accounts and as they were paid up threw a long long period of time I'm still around too. Soooo Ashe is right even if you cancell your account your still around till your time runs out. So ppl may have quit but we wont know till their time runs out. On a side note Asha I hope you enjoyed your experience in SL maybe switch gears a bit and become a nomad  maybe start off fresh as someone new and do the things that you loved when you started. Dunno but I have quit at least once and many times from these forums because of some egomanic's dumba$$ statement that was made just to hurt. Ignore those blowhards trust me on that one. Bees will find the hole and fly through it to get to the honey, not be able to find there way out and eventually land in the honey and get stuck, then die a horrible, prolonged, yet sweet death...

Because I don't feel good about paying anymore money to LL for land each month and to pay my Tringo debt that is now going to take forever to pay off without event support.

What exactly about the stipend bonus or event sponsorship so DEFINES your enjoyment of the game?
Are you just buying stuff all the time? or are you using event sponsorship to fund your land tier? I am struggling to find real rationalizations for the absurd level of hyperventilation going on.**
Did I say destroy? No I didn't. Things are going to change a LOT and not for the better for me. Of course I can still see my friends, I don't build cuz I hate it, and I don't go to clubs so I would appreciate if you would not try to belittle me with your snide comments when you know nothing about what I do here. Event sponsorship DEFINES my enjoyment of the game because I host Bingo daily and I enjoy doing that, I don't see people coming to play without prize money. Yes I can try to come up with other ways and probably will, that doesn't change the fact that I think it sux that support is being pulled.
