We have to analyze, these weapons are intent to crash a sim, which is not the person's own land but an entire space that most likely several individual palyers own. Some people just want to enjoy time with their friends and lovers in their home parcel, and then suddenly they get blown 3 sims away by one of these "bombs"? This is space we are talking about, privately owned space that people pay RL money for. These weapons in the hands of griefers are bad, as well as the fact they are being distributed all over the place to any one.
The only person these weapons entertain are the griefers, it is of no value to the community to even defend this kind of behavior. Yet some of the behavior is even glamorized.
These weapons can be tracked, however, no matter what. The Lindens have records of everything that happens in a server, and if they want to they can track down when one of these weapons scripts are used. However, I think that it seems for some reason certain people are not suspended as fast as others in relation to their use.

Back to the original point. Anything designed to purposely crash a sim, clear a sim of avs, or cause a player to have to relog SHOULD be illegal. Asshats that use or distribute these items SHOULD be banned. Permanently.
BTW, Talen. That gun you were describing that causes relogs. Someone HAS been using it to grief folks.

I've blown a sim to bits by accident a couple times myself.
And then there was that *ONE* time in Baku...

So my gun should be illegal because some asshat used a similar gun ( the gun I have was never out for public purchase or consumption ) to grief while I never have? Again....a griefer is going to grief no matter if its using a bomb a gun or a cube.
