i got in twice today. Second time lagged so bad i relogged - and we all know the end of this story. Multiple attempts to get on and in - freezing at prep inv. and either cycles indefinitely or twice i got the possible clock issue text box.

By the way - what's up with the timestamps on these forum posts. My understanding was the cali is behind Eastern Standard time. It's a little after 5 where i come from but registering a bit after 10 pm here? Am i having a "duh moment"?

SL hangs on loading the inventory. Tells me that I should check my system time...LOL well I´m in europe and it´s almost 2005 yes. Return of the Y2K bug in 2005??

I think the default time is set to Western Europe (England or around there). If you click USER CP at the top, then options, scroll to the bottom and you can change the time to the zone you are in.

the forums are set to gmt time zone you have to go to user cp and switch it to your proper timezone

Timestamps are controlled by what time zone you set your personal profile to. Click where it says "User CP" in the upper left, then click on "Edit Options" on the left. Near the Bottom, it has "Time & Date Options", use the pulldown box to select your time zone, and then the posts timestamps will be in your local time.

WAAAAAAHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! TWO things bad happened that related to SL today... maybe 3... First, I DID get in last night, very happy, logged off. Logged in this morning, and a notecard appeared. The people who owned the rental parcels in Loon bumped the prices up, and I could no longer afford it. So, I packed up, and left. (Thank GOD I own my own land....) Next up, I went over to Cordova to screw around, and got a little board because not a whole lot of my friends were on (probaly stuck at the gate.) Lonely, I logged off, and came to this forum. I think everyone here who can't get in jinxed me, because I can't get back in now!

ITS ALL YOUR FAULT! IM TELLING!!!!

Unable to establish secure connection to the login server. Often (LOL!!!!) this means your computer´s clock is set incorrectly (no, it´s not LOL).
Please go to Control Panel and make sure the time and date are set correctly.
If you continue to receive this error, please go to the support section of the SecondLife.com web site and report the problem.

Ok, I will report that now. Can I set my time to 11:26PM CET, Dec. 31st 1901 in the meantime?
