I am new, but the refresh rate has been terrible. So much latency that I have lost things, sat down and couldn't stand up...

Perhaps if the client weren't so thin.

Yes, that's exactly what I mean, Freya. Mine hangs too -- BTW, it's not recommended to crash it, as it will back up the login queue. I just leave mine on, and if it can't connect, it will return to the splash screen anyway. Best to just let it hold and sustain.

I work in the rl entertainment industry & woe be it to any of us that can't make it into work for any reason short of catostrophic? illness/death, this night! Has always blown my little mind how online gaming takes holidays off.. when it is obviously their busiest times.

I got in this morning with no problem. Took a break for lunch, and, now I can't get in again! What the heck is going on?
I even uninstalled and reinstalled the program with no success.

The Lindens just emailed me, and said the problem would be resolved if everyone trying to get on would simply stop right now, give me 5-10 minutes to get on, then try again. Too many ppl trying at once to get in. Let me in first, and I'll tell you what's goin on in world.
